Obama & Dems Already Damaged Goods – Get On With The Vote

Published by at 11:46 am under 2010 Elections,All General Discussions,Obamacare

Heard a lot of nonsense and obfuscating from the Dems all morning. The worst was pretending the details don’t count, or the costs don’t count, or the Americans want this…

The denial was puke-worthy. But the worst of it was the question of which path would damage Obama and the Dems! Earth to liberals – the damage is done. Democrats will be wiped out this November, and Obama is a one term disaster.  And not only will all this Health Care madness be tied up in legal limbo for years, rejected by over two thirds the states, and eventually repealed and replaced with something more reasonable, but the entire federal government and its intrusive liberal policies will be dismantled.

This is not the dawning of far left Nirvana in America. This is the straw that will provide the energy, the rallying cry and the example for tearing down the federal beast. Democrats are not just going to lose a president and control of Congress along with many dozens of house seats and probably 8-9 senate seats (Boxer (CA) is now in trouble, Murray (WA) is in trouble and Feingold (WI) is even starting to slip). No. They are going to lose a century of federal infrastructure that has been built up, and now needs to excised like a cancerous tumor.

The mood of the country will be to not only repeal this madness,  but to make sure it cannot happen again. The mood will be to clip the federal bureaucracy down to its barest requirements. Power to decide issues will be devolved to the states. Every issue the left holds dear will suffer devastating and irreversible set backs.

If Liberals think Americans will sit back and let them dictate to the majority, they are as clueless as they are arrogant.

Hold this vote now. Get it over with. Pretend this country is not run by the voters and citizens. Pretend you are the greatest and wisest leaders to ever grace this planet. Delude yourselves all you want liberals.

Because today you have awoken the sleeping giant, and the silent majority will be silent no more. Tomorrow we embark on a new path, one that will no longer tolerate liberal madness. I do not think the mood will be to adopt far right madness either, but that is OK. It is still the decade (or century) of centrist consensus.

AJ, I certainly hope you’re right. It will be very, very difficult to accomplish, however. Gird your loins for the good fight!

Get on with the vote. The more I watch this, the more I am truly hopeful that the GOP party will finally find its rightful foot by having the courage and STRENGTH in a brand new strong supermajority and enough votes to repeal ObamaCare and override Obama’s vetos.

This is a very unique situation as never seen in the past that as more and more are learning about the early American founding history, that they are demonstrating a strong interest in rebuilding Congress with those that WILL adhere to the conservative, first principles leading to a limited, self-governance leaving it to the states’ rights.

So, get on with the votes AND get the Senate Bill signed as the law of the land and come November. You are already damaged prior to today’s vote.

And guess what will happen after you get the Senate bill signed by Obama, not many Democrats are going to want to get involved with any new major legislation.

I predict that this will be the last major legislation ever attempted by you guys. I also predict that regardless of what happens today, Obama’s status is already lame duck.

The Dems can denigrate the “tea bag” movement all they want and they will try to paint them as racists, selfish, out of the norm, but it won’t change the vote in November. America’s are awake, it may not be pretty and some fringe elements may not be so nice, but they vote and voting in November will be the final arbitrator of nationalized health care.

I have to say that nationalizing health care is one of my worst nightmares. It fundamentally changes the character of what is unquietly American, State and local governments holding the reigns of power, not the power centralized in Washington DC.

Obama’s disrespect for Israel’s sovereignty, is a close second.

anybody notice how Pelosi said yesterday, “Blah blah blah and we are doing this for the American people. This will be good for them.” Them? Them? Who is she if we are them?

All she forgot to do was throw cake.

Incredible though it may sound to lurker9786 and to me, it appears that the “progressives” who now control the Democratic party are in fact preparing preparing to act on a series of major initiatives, involving legislative battles and social turmoil as bad as “health care reform” – or worse.
    – Immigration
    – Cap and Trade
    – Card Check
    – Taxation

Blogger “Neo-neocon” explains the psychology involved. It is the psychology of legislators who will have nothing more to lose in the wake of having wrecked their political careers over HCR:
    http://tinyurl.com/ykja5so

“[Once] HCR passes, and so many Democrats realize they won’t be re-elected as a result of their ‘yes’ votes, then we’ve got something we’ve never had before: a rogue Senate majority party whose days as a controlling majority are numbered, composed of leftists in safe seats combined with other party members who’ve lost all hope of re-election, all dancing to the tune of ‘when you’ve got nothing, you’ve got nothing to lose.’ They could have the deep desire to pass whatever suits their fancy in whatever fashion they ‘deem’ acceptable, and stick it to the American people even further, since they are no longer answerable to those people.

“Who knows what the results of such a situation will be? But you can best believe they’re not likely to be good.”

Beyond that, the Congressional Democrats have at most nine months to do as they wish. Under the most hopeful scenario, Barack Obama will exercise the powers of the Presidency for over two and one half more years.

    I expect a wild ride.

I don’t know anything about Stupak’s district, but if it contains any actual Americans, I wonder how he’ll feel about having lost his house seat in November, knowing all along that Hussein was lying about an executive order solution? Stupak is using this Ex-O fraud as an EXCUSE to vote for the leftist destruction of the nation…something his mouth was watering over all along. It’s an excuse that won’t help him at the polls.

  9. lurker9876 says:

Well, Obama just released a draft order of the Executive Order that allowed Stupak and his bloc to vote yes. But what will DeGette and her bloc do?

Will they reverse their votes? I hope they will.

Drudge Report has a flash coming from the Republicans indicating that the Reconciliation “Fix’ cannot advance in the Senate. But I can’t get to that link as it times out…

  10. owl says:

This is just the first of many. They are going to keep coming on all of it.

I am changing my vote on immigration as of today. I vote NO. I vote NO on every roll call. These DIMS are now the enemy within and they can not be trusted making any law.

I hope someone organizes so the phones keep being tied up until we boot each and every one of them out of office. Every ‘yes’ vote goes with no exceptions.

They are counting on the MSM to tout each day the benefits. They will drag their feet on the Death Panel and try to quietly work it behind the scenes. Dribble/dribble. They just killed Grandma. This is what being nice and sensible got us. Run over by O’s damn ole bus.

  11. Redteam says:

that link that times out says that they would be changing something on the Social Security Act, which is not allowed in reconciliation.

  12. cochino says:

Hey, these guys have been under tremendous pressure. In the end, they’re Democrats and this is THE signature issue of a Democratic President. Of course, everybody knows this is just for political expediency. This Stupak deal doesn’t mean anything after tomorrow. The Senate Democrats aren’t going to care and I wouldn’t trust Obama as far as I could throw him. It’s just all silliness. The Dems are overwhelmingly pro-choice, many in the leadership militantly so. They are NEVER going to exclude abortion funding from any healthcare the government provides. You could tell a few days ago that the Dems were so close, they were not going to let anything stand in their way. They are in a very powerful position- they have a majority and they don’t care how anything looks. Pelosi will pass out bundles of cash on the House floor if she has to. You can’t fight that.

  13. kathie says:

This is why “party” is important. Many have beefs, but in the end they end up voting with the party. So complain all you want about the fringes, the nuts, the over-the toppers, PARTY COUNTS! The message today couldn’t be more clear.

  14. Ken says:

AJ I hope you are right but don’t forget the average Democratic voter doesn’t think, much less worry about the future of this country. The elites in congress in both parties really believe they know whats best for the rest of us. The MSM will continue to belittle the tea-party movement and carry the Democrats water and make sure we know how wonderful and brave the Obama administration is. We need the momentum to be kept up through this election and 2012. Remember a good Democrat is defeated Democrat.

  15. lurker9876 says:

RedTeam, can the Republicans convince anyone that the House Bill just might not get past the Senate?

  16. cochino says:

It’s not going to get past the Senate, not without any changes. The Senate is never going to pass the House changes in toto. Once the House passes the Senate bill, what incentive will the Senate have to do that? What’s more, what incentive do they have to make serious compromises? They’ll be holding all of the cards. The House would have passed the bill. The House has forgone the conference committee (for obvious reasons). No, the House will voting on another version of this reconciliation package again.

It’s not time to be demoralized. The opposition being demoralized is a big part of what’s going on today. It’s about getting a big vote, something to crow about, a feeling that they can get momentum back. And they want you to think it’s over, when it’s far from that.

This vote today results in . . . . . . nothing, that is, unless the Senate Democrats really just say, “screw you. We’re not going to look at this bill again. We’re happy with it the way it is. Let the President sign it”. Now that would be interesting! What could the House Democrats do? Talk about karma.

  17. Jinny says:

I don’t expect this abomination to go for reconciliation. Obama will sign it and that will be it. They will blame it on the Republicans for not being able to change the bill and their gullible followers will repeat the lie over and over again.

However, people are truly mad about this, and if I’m not mistaken, doesn’t the Senate bill have the Cadillac plan that will tax the union members more? How will that sit with them? Wait till people learn what else is in this bill. Taking your doctor fee out directly out of your checking account. That might be interesting since a lot of people live from payday to payday.

I’m sad to see our country and our constitution being destroyed willfully by people who were entrusted to do the opposite.

  18. cochino says:

    Jinny,
You may be right. I don’t know. Differences between the houses are normally worked out in conference, but with foregoing that, the House is stuck. After the President signs it, and there are no real changes made in any legislation that follows,a lot of Dems in the House are not only going to look like they don’t care about their consitutents, they are going to look like idiots. I can see the campaign slogans now: “vote for me, I’ll believe anything”.

  19. Jinny says:

cochino: You’re right, a normal bill would have a conference, changes made to the bill and both would take it back for a final vote. This hasn’t been a normal bill, starting with locking out the Republicans, vote buying and special provisions for special people.

I had to get away from the television for awhile, I suppose I should go see if they have rammed it through yet.
