Party Like Its 1994!
Thanks to Obama’s liberal tunnel vision, supported by the liberal madness of Congressional leaders in the House and Senate, it seems being a “D” in 2010 is going to be the mark of political Defeat in 2010. Polls are starting to come out showing just how big the backlash is brewing outside the beltway. Â And I am not one of those buying the meme that a summer with no change in health care costs or upswing in economic activity is going to dissipate this wave. In my opinion this is just beginning to rise.
First there is this poll from CBS showing a huge rejection of Obamacare:
That is not success, that is a disaster. Check out the full aricle, which has more detailed graphs on America’s view of President Obama’s signature screw up. This poll follows a previous Florida poll which more than illustrates the damage BEING DONE to brand “D”:
Only 34 percent of Florida voters support the new law while 54 percent are against it, according to the poll. Opposition is significantly strong among two crucial blocs: those older than 65 and voters with no party affiliation. Seniors disfavor the bill by a 65-25 percent margin, while independents oppose the law 62-34.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what is playing out in Florida is playing out across the country to some extent. This led a Clinton pollster to recently admit that if the November elections were held today Democrats would see another 1994 debacle with massive congressional losses.
According to USA Today/Gallup 2010 is just like 1994 in four key metrics (see article for actual charts): Consumer Confidence, Public Satisfaction with Direction of Country, Most Members of Congress Deserve Reelection, My Representative Deserves Reelection.
What separates 2010 from 1994 is not the fact Democrats suicidally passed a massive grab and overhaul of everyone’s health care, but the fact Clinton’s administration was blessed with an extremely strong economy. Clinton basked in the rise of the dot.com bubble (something George W Bush had to address on top of 9-11). President Obama is going to face angry voters on health care against the back drop of a miserable economy and the failed liberal stimulus bill, along with massive deficits and debt as far as the eye can see.
There is very little doubt in my mind Dem0crats are going to demonstrate this fall what happens when you defy the will of the people AND fail on the economy.

Obama admired China for the way that the government mobilized the people to put on a fabulous Olympics, remember that? We can do that here as well, buy cutting out the middle man and have the government dictate the show. Cut out the middle man and give grants to those seeking higher education, cut out the middle man and have the government dole out medical care. Cut out the middle man and what do we have left……..China, that’s all. Do we care? What it comes down to is how much do you value your FREEDOM, even if that freedom is hard. I hope Americans remember why our ancestors came to this country in the first place. Our ancestors ran away from the dictates of governments that defined their lives, they died in boats to get here to be free from exactly the kind of dictates that Obama wants to impose now. Stand up America and say NO, please, your freedom depends on it.

Doesn’t surprise me. Obama has made it clear that he despises ALL our traditional allies, and holds the British and Israelis in special contempt.
Whoever succeeds him will have a terrible job rebuilding the alliance structure.
I don’t know about you; but, I lived through 1994, 2006, and 2008…..and, this is unlike anything I have ever seen.
I thought several weeks ago that even IF the economy does improve in the next few months, this will have no or very little affect in the votes. I thought that government spending, tax hikes, obamacare, rising debts and deficits, etc., would play a much bigger role in the voters’ decisions.
Then I read two articles; one by Charles Krauthammer, saying the same thing.
Frogg1, I think that the reason this is different from the past is because this is the first time we’re seeing an increase in learning about the original founding sources this time. These voters have had it enough with this progressive movement.
It’s too bad that the Republicans just aren’t strong enough to have the desire to return to limited, self-governance.
Don’t be terribly surprised to see something BIG happen in the lead-up to November. I mean, Hussein might attack Iran (with the permission of the Saudi King, one of his biggest campaign contributors, of course.) Something to “shake up” voters. You know…a massive SCAM/CON, hoping it will create a “he’s not such a radical leftist after all” sort of reaction at the polls. I’m not convinced he’d go that far for the democrat “underlings” in the house and senate. But I’ll guarantee he’d do it in 2012!
Obama will not attack Iran. Please, Obama attack a Muslim country after all the courting he has done.
Gas prices will go up and up maybe even $5 to $7 dollars a gallon before the next Presidential election. Everything that the everyday Americans buy will be more expensive. Unemployment will still be at around 9%.
There will be no oil or natural gas production increases until Obama is out of office.
Medical Insurance for the majority of Americans will also go up, only those who have not bought insurance in the past will benefit from Obamacare.
Obama will have set this country on a Marxist course and will be happy with the results, board with the job and will move on to an international job of some description with high visibility.

I agree he will try something, hes’ rehired his campaign strategist and is wildly flailing trying to sell Obamacare to us ignorants.
I rather tend to believe it will be something to mobilize his ignorant masses, the freeloaders watin for Obama cash from Obama stash!
Maybe an all out opening of stimulus payoff or legalizing of illegal aliens.

This discussion assumes that the 2010 election has not already been cast. Look at the corruption in the last several elections by demonrats. Can you really think they are not already printing up pre-marked ballots and and getting Mickey Mouse and Spiderman registered to vote; multiple times?
Especially by 2012 the demonrats will have it sewed up tight.
I really hope I am wrong but it would not surprise me to see demonrats win with 90% to 95% majorities of the 800 million votes cast.
Don’t forget he also rode the “shut up your hate speech you right wing violence inciters”…….. OK City. Everyone was so shocked with what the MSM was saying that we shut up.
