Too Funny, Too True
This just cracked me up, the final excuse:

Bush does not deserve the blame for this guy. No siree.
Yep. True.
Bush’s failures and the socialist media’s lies, brought us Obama.
The only hope hope for the future is that Americans will get their crash lesson in marxism and Chicago thugocracy…
Down with the desmsheviks for a generation!
But Bush’s failure to adequately communicate with the electorate is one of the (many) reasons we ended up with a narcissistic playboy for a President.
The other reasons include (but are not limited to) the compliant press, the Obama campaign legally (but unethically bordering on crookedly) gaming the primary caucus system, and an electorate who were 1) exhausted by the continual in-fighting between Bush, the Dems, and the media (thank you SO MUCH, Al Gore) and 2) wanting a new era of bipartisanship and politicians working together for the good of the country, which Hope-N-Change promised.

Imho, Dennis Hastert is the reason we have obama.
And the fact that George and Karl did not fight back enough. However, they did have a HECK OF A lot on their plates…a whole lot more that this administration. George improved the military greatly after the clinton debacle (that gutted it). Typical democrats.
I have travelled into the future and viewed Barack Obama’s headstone:
Here lies Barack Obama….
…THIS is Bush’s fault TOO!
Elven:
I disagree. One of the reasons we have Obama is that the right is too busy eating its own to worry about the real problem. For instance this morning on Fox and Friends, some idiot Democrat was flapping her gums about how everything was Bush’s fault. The spending, the economy, everything. When Steve Doocey ask her when the expiration date on blaming Bush was going to run out, she said Not yet apparently and just went right on blaming Bush. The right has made it too easy to do that. Personally, I don’t think it would have mattered who the Republican in office was, the Democrats would have blamed him and the right would have made it easy for them to do just that.
dbostan:
What failures would those be? I don’t see it that way. And the fact that people like you do is one of the reasons Obama is in there.
Do people think that if Bush had ignored the financial crisis and gone and played golf while the economy was collapsing, that Obama would not have won? Do they think that if Bush had ignored 9/11 and gone and played golf that Obama would not have won? How about Katrina? Should he have ignored that too? I remember rightie pundits like Malkin piling on during Katrina along side the Democrats to savage Bush.
I remember Bush vetoing some spending bills and those vetoes being over ridden…and the Democrats did not pay a price for that. People did not get upset about the spending until after the stimulus.
This willingness to blame Bush, a man who never evaded responsibility for his own actions is a sign of weakness for this administration and a sign of disloyalty and for people who profess to stand against this administration’s policies.
George Bush was a great president and history will show it if history is written legitimately.
However, George Bush and team were horrible communicators.
Rather than defend themselves and sell their policies to the American people over the heads of the national socialist media they allowed the socialists to define them and paint their every endeavor as a failure. That is on Karl Rove, George Bush’ plate as a huge failure. it did severe damage to the party and the chances of winning in 08.
Spending and the appointments of Paulson and others also were a big problem. The TARP was of questionable necessity but was sold by a left leaning appointee of W. as necesarry, it opened the door for stimulus which is nothing more than a federal gov’t power grab and socialist reperations for favored interest groups and states.
Some of us would argue it would have been better to let the banks fail than to have the taxpayers bail them out thus ushering in the age of Socialism, Corporatism and too Big to fail!
We are being spent into slavery for generations and it did not have to happen if the Republicans had stood their ground , sold their ideas of limited gov’t and responsible spending and defended their policies ARTICULATELY!
ASome of us would also argue that the drug billl that W. passed was an assault on free enterprise and also an expensive socialist, corporatist solution to a problem that was manufactured. it lead to the ultimate conclusion .. the nationalizing of healthcare.
I saw that also Terrye — that idiot was a union lawyer (there is some kind of double negative here that works exponentially) — probably the lowest form of life on the planet and the most unenlightened when it comes to reality.
But they are starting to twitch which is nice to see — the days of free government are about over or at least the end game has started.
Someone help me with something that has been bothering me.
The BOP (blowout preventer) on these wells are tested regularly. If there is a problem with it, it can be hauled up, repaired or replaced, and put back in place.
What is preventing the failed BOP from being removed and another being put in its place and triggered?
Is it that it partially triggered and can’t be removed? Or is it because the well is blown out below the BOP?
I just don’t understand why a component that is designed to be replaced in case of a failure can’t be replaced now and activated.
I’d say there is a lot of truth to this. Let’s put on our thinking caps for a moment.
Bush claimed he was a “Compasionate Conservative” which we can now see meant cutting taxes, while expanding Governments role and scope in our lives.
TSA
Homeland “Security”
Two Stimulus Bills
TARP
Gave G.M. and Chrysler Billions
The Patriot Act
Doubled Government Spending
Increased Muslim Immigration, while fighting them
And so much more.
I don’t see it as a communication problem. I see it as an actual observable problem.
The words spoken just didn’t mesh with reality. The same with Congress. They told us they were governing in a conservative manor, yet people could actually see, if they chose too, that they weren’t.
Some are still in denial, but the evidence is there for all to see.
But Obama was ultimately the best gift the GOP has gotten in years. What they do with this gift still remains to be seen. Maybe if they get back in power, they will govern in some way that resembles the Party Platform. We shall see in the next two election cycles.
Take care Folks!
