They Are Not “Bush” Tax Cuts!!
Good lord, you’d think the GOP would have a clue about simple, basic messaging. OUR current tax rates have been in place for 9 years. They are OUR tax rates and any increase to them should be called what they are – Democrat-Obama Tax Hikes!
How hard is this?

I listened to the “Facebook” interview with GW Bush yesterday. Maybe I’m “way to” middle American, not very smart, but I miss the straight forward approach, honest, funny, and human.
This is a real news worthy event.

Who ever screwed up the computer system in Iran is a hugh hero, why aren’t the news papers filled with the importance of what was done. Who ever did this probably saved the world from a third world war.
Does anybody think that Bush had a hand in this? It would be much easier to take out Sadham, knowing that Iran would be neutered.

In a faint defense, I think it’s the MSM that labels them the “Bush Tax Cuts”, since that’s what the DNC tells them to do. Hard for the GOP to break through that with any regularity, especially since there’s no real leader of the party right now.
On the other hand, they do go along too easily. I rather like the tone that Rick Perry took in Texas during this last campaign, even though it worried a lot of of people. He basically told the press to go screw themselves, he refused to give interviews, he refused to meet with editorial boards, and he dared them all to campaign against him since he said they were going to be against him anyways. He told them to do their worst, since his supporters didn’t care what the msm said anymore. Then he openly proclaimed his plan to campaign in a way that bypassed the MSM entirely, with minimal ad buys.
Perry was right – at least in Texas, only Democrats pay attention to the MSM anymore, and they could only pull 43% of the vote this last election. And for Lurker, who I know was following this – I think it’s *hilarious* that all of Mostyn’s campaign money got flushed down the drain with no effect at all! Even if he is stupidly filthy rich, it’s still got to be a piss-off to watch 2 million dollars go down the drain and vanish as though they had never even existed.

btw, just read ulsterman’s latest bit about “insider” – yawn. He acts like it’s a big deal to tell people that the media was completely in the tank for Obama in 2008. I guess that does mean the source of the info is truly a liberal, since no one else could even pretend to think that was news. But for anyone on our side, tell us something we don’t know, why don’t ya.
Insider apparently thinks he’s very smart, but not smart enough to admit (although he just did without realizing it) that he’s just proving that everything that guys like Beck and Rush have been saying about this administration and this Resident have been dead on accurate right from the start. Once he realizes that, he realizes that if he truly cares about this country (which I actually doubt extremely, these types care about getting power and getting theirs, nothing else) he would realize that the best possible thing that could happen is for the Dem party to lose massively, to be destroyed by their own ideology, and to pass from the political scene for good like the Whigs. Let something else rise to take their place in a two party system, but let the dems be destroyed utterly.
The future of our Nation depends on it.

Sarah Palin is also doing the Perry thing to a large extent. She lets them come to her events but I don’t think she is actively courting them.
Lover her or hate her (or Rick Perry for that matter) I think this is a good approach for Republicans to take. The result will be that the democrats ry to take over the Internet and that will fail

In 2001 and 2003 the Congress approved a reduction in tax rates to spur the economy. The deal was, they would expire at the end of 2010 unless they were affirmatively extended. Let’s go to the calendar: 2001 was nearly 10 years ago. 2003 was almost eight years ago.
