The Polls Will Turn

Published by at 9:01 am under All General Discussions

Because all the ‘negative news’ is made up, irrelevant news from a desperate media and leftwing devoid of any ideas.  This is news:

Employers, in a springtime hiring burst, boosted payrolls by a sizable 211,000 in March and pushed the nation’s unemployment rate down to 4.7 percent.

The latest snapshot, released by the Labor Department on Friday, suggested that an accelerating economic expansion is putting companies in the hiring mood, brightening prospects for job seekers.

Hiring gains were fairly widespread. Construction, financial activities, education and health care and government were among the sectors posting payroll gains. That help to blunt job losses in manufacturing and in the transportation industries.

And so is this news:

Consumer confidence in the economy’s prospects improved in early April even as gasoline prices and borrowing costs marched higher.

The RBC CASH (Consumer Attitudes and Spending by Household) Index, based on results from the international polling firm Ipsos, showed confidence at 89.4 in early April, up from March’s 86.2. The new reading also was better than a year ago, when consumer confidence clocked in at 84.5.

And there is more to come.

Of course, it has nothing to do with tax cuts…

    TrentK269,

Of course not! Why would tax cuts be involved? That happened YEARS ago!

    Friday Night Quick Shots…

The extreme heat (95 here today – in early April! Oh, mama mia!) and a bad case of allergies due to the inhuman concentration of pollen in the air have completely sapped my blogging energy tonight – fortunately, there are others – many others- to pick…

Well as a still unemployed tech worker I need to know what these jobs are in .

I used to think I was prettty good especially since I bought over $60,000 in diagnostic equipment. I cannot even afford the maintenance today.

Is it all those jobs that no one else wants or are they good jobs?

I have had 4 careers already and do not have the money to pay to finish school for a fifth.

No matter how many are not working I not a lot of people who are struggling working two jobs including all the members in my family.

I do not see this wonderful econonomy. It is costing me over 600 a month just to heat my home and light it.

There was a Rep Steve King from IA. on fox who says there are still 70 million unenployed in this country.
He said the reason the numbers are so good is because the rest are factored out.

He said the stats come from the labor dept.
    Is this true?

The reason I ask is under Clinton Defecits declined and we had an eventual surplus.

Were the ratios that different under Clinton versus Bush?

Or are the differences just Katrina and the War on Terror?
