Mora & Juan – Too Partisan Clowns
I think I have watched my last Fox News Sunday. The two liberals on the panel were in a fantasy world, spinning out lame DNC talking points. It was such a bad act I thought I was watching Charlie Sheen pretending to be deep and thoughtful.
As Brit Hume noted, the President and Senate leader praised the results of this debate – so either they are lying or Juan and Mora are. And if it was so bad, why are the liberals on Daily Kos fed up with Obama and the Democrat party? The left is fracturing and the right is congealing.
Forget the bubble heads inside The Beltway bubble. Watch the polls. The GOP and Tea Party will see a boost in support. And Obama is on the precipice. He has been flirting with the 20% mark on strongly approve in the Rasmussen approval index, all the while the folks lining up against him under the strongly disapprove have drop offed the typical mid-40’s mark to the mid-30’s. When the disapproval rises back up to the mid to high 40’s it will be a clear signal most of the nation has lost faith in the stormy and failed Obama administration.
Juan has just lost it. We need to find sane and sort of smart democrats to debate issues. Not the White Knights trying to confirm they are humankind’s last hope.
Somebody fetch Juan a dribble cup and bib because he sort of missed his mouth a bit when drinking the kool aid and trying to pass on the designated talking points of the day.
I don’t know where it is but there still has to be some kind of mailing list or phone them up group similar to Journolist still running around out there because so many of the MSM are all trying to pass on the same bullet points.

I watched the same show this morning, and was shaking my head as I heard Juan and Mora commenting on the budget deal. Mora thinks that once Obama submits his wonderful budget (after the republicans have led the way with their’s), it will level the playing field, and Ryan’s budget will lose all honors and perhaps credibility.
Juan’s remarks were just off the reality chart, and Hume didn’t even want to engage him in any sanity retorts.
For me, it remains to be seen how future dem/repubican fiscal confrontations fare, as well as how this current deal will be implemented in the near future — mainly the debate and votes that now will be coming up on Obamacare. I hope the republicans take advantage of what they interpret as a “win,” standing firm for ways and means to really cut back on government bloat, especially on the entitlements which are the real stones on everyone’s backs.
Will the Americans see that the ONLY reason Obama is coming out with his “new” budget plan is because Paul Ryan came out with his own?
The House GOP is forcing Obama’s hand and he knows it. When I heard what David Plouffe said this morning, I was shaking my head as if I don’t believe what he was saying and promising.
Then he was followed by a Republican that was saying that Obama’s fy2012 budget plan released back in February showed increased spending and raised taxes.
The House GOP has to come out with a very good message or they will lose the propaganda war.
David Plouffe indicates that Obama’s new budget plan is going to raise taxes for the 250,000 incomers to protect the middle class….the “soak the rich” tax.
Mara is wrong with her assessment.
Let me reverse her assessment. It will NOT level the playing field, and Ryan’s budget will get all honors and credibility.

Next week, the group of progressives plans to introduce its alternative to Ryan’s proposal, called “The People’s Budget.” Based on an advanced peek provided by a senior Democratic aide, it promises to return the nation to surpluses by the end of the decade and reduce the debt, only with a much different approach from Ryan’s.
To extend the long-term solvency of Social Security, it would propose dramatically increasing payroll taxes on both the employer and employee side, and funneling the money into even more generous benefits.
Payroll taxes are economically destructive, because they make it more expensive for employers to hire new workers, meaning lower real wages and higher unemployment.
Yet the tax increases wouldn’t end there. The People’s Budget would rescind last year’s tax deal to raise rates on higher income levels, boost taxes on capital gains and dividends, increase the estate tax, institute three “millionaire tax rates,” with the highest reaching 47 percent, tax corporate foreign income, impose a “financial crisis responsibility fee,” and institute a “financial speculation tax.”
Overall, taxes would rise to 22.3 percent of the economy, compared with 18.3 percent under the Ryan proposal.
The plan would also build on Obama’s most notable initiatives. It includes an additional $1.45 trillion in economic stimulus spending. On health care, the plan would add a government-run plan, or “public option,” to Obamacare and have the government negotiate drug prices.
Yet while other parts of government would grow, the defense budget would be gutted. The proposal would “reduce baseline defense spending by reducing strategic capabilities, conventional forces, procurement, and R&D programs.”
It is pretty bad when what you would have thought at first glance was a Onion Parody is actually being put forward as policy.
I note that poll analysis from a friendly source to the dems shows horrid losses in just about all but college educated women for Obama.
I then also note that many areas of this budget proposal are simply directed at flooding more money to the areas of greatest weakness.
Kind of reminds me of the dems throwing money at people to buy health care votes.

don’t just look on the downside of this, look at the incredible upside!
In your wildest dreams, could you ever imagine the Democrats going into the 2012 elections chanting “RAISE TAXES! RAISE TAXES!”
THAT is going to be Obama’s campaign theme? BWAH HA HA HA!!!
“The People’s Budget” sounds like the “Progressive Worker’s Budget” of the Soviet Union.
Wow, that sounds really, really bad.
wws, don’t you think the Americans are getting tired of hearing, “Soak the rich! Soak the rich! Soak the rich!”
So you’re now abandoning Fox News Sunday in addition to quitting O’Reilly and Hannity earlier.
So the alternatives are NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC? Schultz? Maddow? LOL.
at least on Fox you get both sides of the story. On those others, you get the loones side and the even loonier side.
I thought what Juan was putting out today sounded like babbling, he wasn’t even coherent. He referred to the rich as scoundrels then when Chris called him on it, he got onto Chris for being partisan, well, we all know Juan certainly isn’t partisan, he’s just crazy.
I think it funny that until his hand was forced, Obama was planning to raise taxes in this budget deal that just got passed, he certainly wasn’t planning a cut. He was forced to accept the largest one year cut ever. The Repubs won. Obama is now claiming ‘credit’ for the big budget cut.
He is planning a massive increase in taxes(soak the rich) and spending(support the unions) in the fiscal ’12 budget, which he claims to be putting out next week. Strange he is going to put this one out 6 months before it goes into effect compared to never putting out one for this year.
“Yet while other parts of government would grow, the defense budget would be gutted. The proposal would “reduce baseline defense spending by reducing strategic capabilities, conventional forces, procurement, and R&D programs.””
So, why don’t we just put a sign on every jet, every naval vessel, every Coast Guard vessel, every Army tank now that says: COME AND GET US! NOW’S YOUR CHANCE!
Shhhs.
The reasons American’s are getting sick of hearing “Soak the rich! Soak the rich! Soak the rich!” is that they know that it won’t work – it can’t work. It isn’t possible to raise enough money that way. (you can find the links to those analyses if you want)
So… what that really means is raise taxes on EVERYBODY! Problem is, the cat’s out of the bag.
People forget that Obama ran on the promise of cutting taxes for everyone except a few rich people – we forget that because none of us believed that nonsense, but I know people who did.
They voted for Obama because he promised to cut their taxes. No one believes that crap anymore, not even the libs.
The main reason Americans are sick of hearing “Soak the Rich” is that we all aspire to be one of them one day and don’t want to be one of the ones soaked.
Dims are tone deaf to the rule that “all men are created equal”. They have this great giveaway program to buy votes and don’t want to understand that means everyone should pay the same percentage in taxes. I understand the rich already pay 95% of the revenue. Is it going to be a case they will also pay the other 5% because we can’t afford to? No jobs, no income, just outgo. The way we are going, the dims had better take care of the rich. They may be the only ones able to pay largesse to the rest of us.
NO new taxes! CUT spending!
Once a tax is enacted it is NEVER rescinded. And I have sent ENOUGH money through the years to Washington and received VERY LITTLE except from the Military. So DO NOT cut the military. It is the one area that delivers a good return on my dollar.
And lastly, I am not sending you another dime to fix YOUR (congress) screw-ups. And you better give me the money I send you for MY RETIREMENT. It’s MY money. Got it?
Since the democrats evidently do not mind being taxed how about a tax on Democrats?
Somebobody propose an income tax of 95% with no exceptions on anyone who is a registered democrat or on any company or corporation that donates to the democratic party.
However, only democtats can partake of the government programs these taxes support.
If they want the people’s revolution to bring about the communist paridice then let them start walking the walk. Come rich dems, donate your wealth to the poor and live among the people.
Juan is Fox’s token Black liberal commentator. Like all his kind he uses what little intelligence he has to mimic and parrot the Dem official talking points which advocate taking from the evil white over achievers and redistributing everything to those who either can’t or won’t put forth the effort to succeed. When he first appeared on Fox’s commentary programs, serious thinkers like Cal Thomas actually laughed at his responses. I would like to see Juan debate Obama’s economics policies with Charles Payne. It should be as interesting as the fiasco when our inept Congressmen tried to “question” Chief Justice John Roberts during his confirmation hearings. It’s obvious Juan’s capabilities are limited to repeating what he has been told, and serious thinking is not one of his strong points.
