President Cannot Use Citizens As Pawns
Members of the Senate Tea Party Caucus have met with House freshmen to discuss a plan to pressure House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to bring the Full Faith and Credit Act to the floor.
…
The legislation would direct Obama to prioritize federal payments to the nation’s creditors, Social Security recipients and soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
I dare any Democrat in the Senate or White House to oppose this bill. Checkmate.

Reid just came out with an offer that may be taken depending on the details of it.
This is a attempt by him to try to get the high ground for his side saying ‘see we saved the day from those evil Republicans’.
I don’t think the voters will buy into that after 800 plus days of Dems being the party of nothing.
Markets were down in Asia and less so in Europe last night and US markets are off on a rocky start this morning.
Gold is up as well.

President Rejected Debt Deal
President Obama last night rejected a bipartisan deal offered to him by Congressional leaders of both parties which would have provided for a short-term extension of the debt limit in order to avoid a U.S. Government default.
The agreement involved Speaker Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Reid and Senate GOP Leader McConnell – in fact, staffers from Reid and McConnell’s offices were working on the legislative language together on Sunday.
But when Reid took the bipartisan/bicameral plan down to the White House, it was rejected by the President.
-0.79%, last I looked.
With all due respect, Merlin, the markets are mildly reacting in my humble opinion of having previously spent 20 years in the financial sector. However, I am not in it now and qualify my humble opinion with that.
As Cramer just said, Washington, in general, doesn’t dictate his market strategies.
“Among those not affiliated with either major party, 18% Strongly Approve and 42% Strongly Disapprove.”
from Rasmussenreports.com
Why ONLY a 42% disapproval from Independents??
Here is the beginning of the paragraph:
“Forty-four percent (44%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 75% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove.”
The democrats are weakening – Reid has no more stomach for this fight, almost certainly because far too many on his own side are worried about their election prospects (Like Joe Manchin) and have no stomach for this fight.
Obama is being pushed out on a ledge all by himself by the other dems.
I wonder if he’s too stupid to realize that not only is somebody going to have to take the fall, now HE is being set up by his own side to be The Guy?
This is getting better and better to watch by the minute.
Looks like Obama is at the end of the ropes. He’s so desperate that he had to go past the beltway 8 to plead for our support. Nah…I’m not lifting the phone. No thank you.
Boehner, hang in there. Good thing that you made sure that the freshmen republicans were aware that this is not a good bill.
Redstate has gone too far to refuse absolution.
