Justice And The Law Finally Finding Obama?
Today the House has subpoenaed all White House documents relating to Solyndra.
By a 14-9 party-line vote the Energy and Commerce Committee’s investigative subcommittee authorized issuing a subpoena for any White House documents related to Solyndra, which received renewable energy loan guarantees under President Obama’s stimulus program. The request for documents could include details of the president’s own travel and communications.
Democrats said it was “unprecedented” to subpoena documents from the president’s executive office like this, but Republicans said they’ve run out of patience with White House “stalling.”
“We simply cannot allow the executive branch at its highest levels to pick and choose what they will produce, or whether they will produce anything at all,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns, the Florida Republican who runs the investigative panel.
Finally we have some Congressmen with a moral compass. It only took a year of being the majority in the House, but I’ll take it. Anything attempts to stop, stall, and/or reverse the immoral, unlawful acts of this Administration. The Democrats and the Administration are trying to claim that the Republicans are acting in bad faith.
Rep. Fred Upton, Michigan Republican and chairman of the full committee, said several new boxes of documents were released to the press Wednesday night even before they were turned over to the committee. Those documents reportedly show the Obama administration mulled bailing Solyndra out just days before the solar panel manufacturer collapsed.
Emphasis mine. I’m pretty sure sending documents to the press prior to the investigating body is acting in bad faith. If you provided the press with evidence prior to notifying the police you could be charged with obstructing an investigation. “Documents the GOP has already obtained show approval was sped up despite the concerns of some officials.” I’m pretty sure that is probable cause to request more information. With this knowledge it is no longer a fishing expedition. Democrats shut up and step aside. This Adminstration and anyone involved will pay for the injustice done to the tax payers.

Let me tell you who the law needs to zero in on (and apparently an FBI investigation has now been opened) ex Dem Senator, ex Dem Governor, massive Obama fund raiser Jon Corzine.
the mainstream outlets are shying away from this, but even they can’t hide the story completely. They’re running it as “isn’t it a shame that MF global went bankrupt”, but that’s not the Big Story. The Big Story is that, with Corzine’s direct approval, MF Global violated *EVERY* law on the books about handling client money AND broke about half a dozen fraud statutes when they gambled away somewhere betweeen $700 Million and $1.5 Billion of their customers money without any prior approval.
Same thing as if you deposited money in a bank and the next week the bank called you and said “hey, sorry, the bank manager took a weekend in Vegas and blew it all, got any more?”
And NO insurance to cover it – the amounts are too big.
Somebody is going to jail over this one, and that somebody needs to be Corzine!
Corzine is supposed to walk away with a 12 million dollar severance pay!
Well, since he is a democrat (yes, little “d”), he will get away with it until he gets the Weiner moment and forced out.
Corzine is another Obama that ran anything to the ground…just like Immelt.

heh heh – Corzine has already “voluntarily” forfeited his severance pay and has hired a full time attorney specializing as a so-called “white collar” defense attorney. That more than anything else tells us how big a deal this is, even if the MSM is downplaying it.
This is the greatest criminal business fraud since Enron – much, much worse than Lehman, which was horrible but in the end still just idiotic decision making.
No, this time it is Fraud, plain and simple, and Corzine and his team should all be headed to Federal Prison. Reportedly an FBI team is already on site taking custody of all personal and business computers and any physical records.
Just FYI, not just emails but phone conversations and instant messages are all admissible as evidence in court. And *all* of those are now stored on servers somewhere. I think this all fell apart too fast for them to get up a good electronic document cleansing operation – which means pretty soon some of the guys on the lower levels are going to start to cut deals with the feds implicating the higher ups.
and that’ll be the time to break out the popcorn and enjoy the show!

I see that the Cain accuser’s lawyer released the statement, followed by NRA. NRA pretty much closed the subject except for “releasing” the accuser from confidentiality…whatever that means…just the statement or the complaint?
The complaints had never been legally tried so no one knows the truth. It’s done.
It appears that Cain, Block, and Hansen may have learned something from this…but not all of it.
The next attack against Cain and how he handles it…may break or make him.
I see that Perry is doing the Cain thing…by showing on TV shows to be interviewed…because that worked for Cain.
Now I see that Romney is attacking Perry on immigration.
It continues to amaze me just how corrupt these Dimmicrats and the administration is. It is absolutely almost beyond comprehension. There is 700 million dollars missing. Every dollar is a crime. It was a ponzi scheme that Nadoff would have been proud of… all these ‘officials’ in BF Global are ‘bundlers’ for obama. That is, in simple language, criminals stealing money to enrich themselves and contributing to obama to make sure the money pipeline continues.
The obama administration has forever redefined the word ‘bundler’ to be ‘criminal working to support his habit’.

Cain is doomed. He can’t get his story straight. Yes, it was leaked by ‘someone’ but now that the NRA has stated that the person involved was free of the Non disclosure agreement and could talk, she has taken the high road and stated that she does not wish to comment one way or the other.
the NRA did confirm that it was a sexual deal, not just a severance and that there were several occasions. Cain has continued to change his story. Look, tell the truth, whatever it is.
The Republican nominee is going to be Newt. I’ve said that for a while now.

I am thinking that there were many things that Cain had it right. But now that Cain’s accuser is “free” to discuss her complaints, the liberal media will try and find her for more details so that they can go after Cain if he wins the nomination. Surely, Perry and Romney teams have some really good strategists that do oppo research…just as much as Obama’s team.
I think NRA said that the accuser claims these things but settled on an internal dispute. So why did the accuser file a claim one month after Cain left?
Newt would be a far better choice than Romney. What gets me is Paul Ryan’s “endorsement” of some Romney plan. Which disgusts me when we see the capitulation of some GOP establishment towards some bad choices just because they feel someone’s the most electable?
Newt understands history, religion, and founding principles far better than Romney. He also understands foreign policy better but I question his leadership and the ability to follow up on started projects.

I see that Obama’s playing the Clinton / Bush / Andrew Jackson tactic by rejecting the Solyndra subpoenas.
As for the GOP nomination, it’s going to be anyone but Romney. Problem is that we have too many candidates in the GOP race. This is just as bad as 2008…not one good, strong, conservative candidate with earned virtue and respect except Santorum. It’s too bad that Santorum isn’t getting the attention well-deserved.
I just came from the Dan Reihl site and after reading RedState and Ace…none of them like Cain. They are attacking Cain and will attack Cain. Seems that Cain hasn’t earned their respect and virtue. Erik is in Perry’s camp. I don’t know which camp the other two belong in.
But neither has Newt. I’m impressed with his debating skills but he has too much personal baggage that I’m reluctant to consider him.
I am on a roll here…looks like Limbaugh, Colter, Professor Jacobson were right…but the mainstream media will continue to seek this if Cain was to surge again. Politico is wrong to publish it and now after 96 articles…overkill….

I Missed The Statement… But apparently she includes the statement that she has “chosen not to relive the incident,” but stands by what she claimed, or something.
So she’s dropping it completely? Apparently so.
She is not asking the NRA to release her from the confidentiality agreement, except for this brief statement.
Beyond saying “what I said before was accurate,” she seems to be saying she won’t be talking further about this.
The lawyer continues to talk up the “specific incidences” detailed in the written complaint, and says Cain knows all about them, and etc., but won’t say what they are.
She prefers to keep her privacy, but she also prefers to snipe at Cain from that position of privacy?
So… one down? Or is she just not talking now, but if Cain gets closer to the nomination (or wins it), we can expect her to revisit this and begin airing complaints to the media again?
More: The National Restaurant Association actually offered to release this woman from the confidentiality/non-disparagement agreement.
She declined.

“We have seen the statement Joel Bennett released earlier today on behalf of his client, a former employee of the Association. The Association consented to the release of that statement, at the request of Mr. Bennett’s client.
“Based upon the information currently available, we can confirm that more than a decade ago, in July 1999, Mr. Bennett’s client filed a formal internal complaint, in accordance with the Association’s existing policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment. Mr. Herman Cain disputed the allegations in the complaint. The Association and Mr. Bennett’s client subsequently entered into an agreement to resolve the matter, without any admission of liability. Mr. Cain was not a party to that agreement. The agreement contains mutual confidentiality obligations. Notwithstanding the Association’s ongoing policy of maintaining the privacy of all personnel matters, we have advised Mr. Bennett that we are willing to waive the confidentiality of this matter and permit Mr. Bennett’s client to comment. Here’s what I am/was thinking:
If this were a trumped up bullshit charge designed to cadge money out of the NRA, we might expect an accuser to file falsely, but then would not re-open the case for the media.
So based on her apparently talking to Politico, I thought at least she really believed there was a strong sexual harassment case here.
But now she says “Nevermind,” essentially.
So now I’m thinking her claim was trumped up.

Cain started out by saying he had never had any allegations against him because he hadn’t done anything, then he said he didn’t know who it would have been because it could have been any one of several. At one point he said there weren’t ever any allegaions against him.
If Mr. Cain disputed the allegations, he must have been aware of them.
That’s the problem, as I said before, Cain keeps shooting himself in the foot. If you recall, he started out, not knowing anything about the claims.

I haven’t seen anyone claim or state that she has talked to Politico or anyone else. All the stories to Politico that I’ve seen were from anonymous sources and even once the NRA apparently released her from the agreement, she has and still does refuse to talk about it. So there is no reason to lay this on the woman, I see no evidence that she has attempted to do anything toward undermining Cain.
If Cain had told the whole truth from day one, it would likely not stilll be a story, but when he keeps changing it, it keeps the story alive. As I said, I think the doomed himself and Newt will now acheive the nomination.
If Cain plans to stay in the race, he needs to get someone that knows how to handle the very biased MSM and follow their advice. As good a speaker as he may be, the press is out to get him. And they are succeeding.
Will those who pocket money for personal gain repay it? See the White Hat Reports by clicking to the site and clicking over from the Blogroll or doing a Google search. Another example of corruption.
Cain began to tell the truth the next day…faster than Clinton ever admitted to the Monica Lewinsky affair. Did he ever admit to it?
If I were Cain, I’d write down a professional response on a flyer and give that each journalist that asks these questions. It’s exactly what Perry did with Gardasil.
Let’s see if this is the ONLY issue in the Cain closet. I think Politico’s efforts has cast doubt on Cain’s character and virtue.

Gingrich has been leading behind for a very long time and lost his entire team. But now he’s beginning to surge ahead of Cain. I feel that Newt is the best debater of all of the GOP candidates and CAN stand up against Obama. Newt knows his history and founding principles. But he, like, Romney, can become too much of a RINO…as he sat next to Pelosi, pushed for individual mandates (with Heritage), endorsed Global Warming, and so on.
Has he learned from all of this…like Perry? Maybe.
All except Romney have fallen behind in the poll numbers. Romney has remained consistent, which means that people are still looking for somebody else. And no one is satisfied with any of them.
I can’t say anything about Cain other than what i’ve seen on tv, but I can say that just from his own responses about the sexual allegations, i don’t have any idea what the truth is. He has told several different stories and I don’t know which of them are true or which are not true. So, if I can’t make out what really happened from what he says, Well, draw your own conclusions.
I’ve watched Newt from his very early days in the House when he used to make those speeches on CSPAN that are after the days business and he was speaking to an ’empty’ House. I was always impressed by his speaking ability. I was disappointed when he quit the House, and was disappointed in a lot of his personal baggage. I don’t like some of his positions on some issues, but he is not a RINO.
BUT, and this is a great big BUT, there is no one in this country that is less qualified to be the president than the man that is presently occupying the office. He is a completely manipulated tool of SOMEONE to oversee the downfall of this country. If he stays in office, he might accomplish a lot of what he is being directed to do.
Just keep him away from the teleprompter (where he is getting the message)
We know absolutely nothing about this “scandal”. This thing never went to the court and it never went before the NRA BOD. Cain has never been charged for anything. No proof. Nothing.
I see that Fassler and one other person have stepped forward as the oppo witness against Bennett’s client as of nothing did happen.
Unless there are more in Cain’s closet…His responses to the media was not good. And that is not a good thing but either he learns from it or not.
At this point, I think Cain will make a good leader. He’s demonstrated that he will pick good leaders to get their jobs done. Maybe we do need a non-career politician this time?
Now…for the other candidates:
Romney is definitely not a good replacement for Obama.
And the others? Good replacements for Obama. Other than Cain, I like Santorum.
In the general election, I’d vote for the GOP nomination.
