Return Of The Fitz?
Dennis Byrne makes a good case in asking Bush to re-appoint Patrick Fitzgerald – to a point. If Fitzgerald is the last Federal Prosecutor in the country who is intent on defeating corruption, then I guess we are stuck with him. But given how badly he botched the Plame investigation (missing the entire purpose of his job to find the original leaker and determine if there was a crime committed) my suspicion is we as a country can do much better than Fitz-Magoo and should raise our standards. So my response is there has to be an army of prosecutors who care as much and are infinitely more competent.
