From The Duh! Files

Folks in the media are all atwitter with the idea Iraq could sink into civil war. Here from a US Commander and here from a departing UK Ambassador to Iraq. That has been a concern and possibility from before the invasion and remains the one top risk to success. Is it possible? Well, duh! Yes. Is it probably? I doubt it. 80% of the country has no interest in a civil war and their is an accepted national government that has the support of all provinces, regions and cities. The fact their are malcontents doesn’t equate to one part of Iraq separating from the rest of Iraq (which is, by definition, a real civil war). Oh well, I guess the left can dream about a failed Iraq if they must.
