America’s Kadima Starts

Published by at 2:45 pm under All General Discussions,Leiberman-Lamont

“Kadima” is the name of the centrist party Ariel Sharon created in Israel to push the polarizing ends of the spectrum off the political map so things could get done. Joe Leiberman is now also starting that process:

He seized on the terrorist plot in Britain to criticize Lamont’s opposition to the war in Iraq.

“I’m worried that too many people, both in politics and out, don’t appreciate the seriousness of the threat to American security and the evil of the enemy that faces us — more evil or as evil as Nazism and probably more dangerous than the Soviet communists we fought during the long Cold War,” Lieberman said.

“If we just pick up like Ned Lamont wants us to do, get out by a date certain, it will be taken as a tremendous victory by the same people who wanted to blow up these planes in this plot hatched in England. It will strengthen them, and they will strike again.”

Count me in as a staunch Lieberman supporter for this race. He has this blogger’s support. Anyway, we are both ex-democrat independents!

I left the Donkey Party about the time Carter started screwing it up (with lots of help from the various left wing special interest groups). I thought that they would lose an election or two, wake up, and put people like Scoop Jackson or Joe Lieberman back in charge of winning elections and getting things done. In short, I thought that I’d be back shortly.

That was almost thirty years ago. I never dreamed that we would be witnessing a bunch of red diaper doper babies pushing dumb issues, getting trounced, never learning a thing, and always falling back on conspiracy fantasies to explain their ongoing failures. And that the MSM would repeatedly rationaize things for them.

A lot of people say that Kerry was a putz of a campaigner, but I thought that he did pretty well getting 48 percent of the vote for the bunch whiny, crazed losers that the Democrats have become. They look like they’ve decided to become the permanent Party of Second Place, and thet become less loyal and more radical the further from power that they fall.

Only somone from another planet with a different system of reality would posit the notion that Radical Islam is not in a war with the West which is becoming more, not less, severe- yet you can find any number of Dems telling us almost daily that it just ain’t so. The fact that John Q. Public doesn’t see it that way is increasingly apparent. Look for the Dems to bungle a chance to make some real gains this November. If Muslim terrorists wind up with some kind of hit against the usual innocents, watch the Dems drop like a stone to the bottom of the well.

Kadima starts in the US? Perhaps but I think it’ll be ending soon in Israel. After this fiasco of a ‘cease fire’ is accepted by PM Olmert I think their will be new elections soon and I wouldn’t be shocked if Likud makes a come back.
