Who Hacked Lieberman?
There is a lot of fun speculation running around about who was responsible for the DoS attack on the Lieberman campaign site right before the elections. In this interesting note on NRO, the Lame-ont campaign is ready to sue for false charges:
Democratic Nominee Ned Lamont’s campaign today demanded an apology for false accusations that it attacked its opponent’s web site.
On Tuesday, the day Lamont beat incumbent Joseph Lieberman in an election with record turnout for the Democratic nomination, Lieberman’s campaign began accusing Lamont of hacking into his web site, issuing a press release and trumpeting the charge to numerous reporters and accusing its opponent of interfering with an election.
…
“We welcome investigations by the FBI and the Attorney General, as they will prove our campaign had nothing whatsoever to do with this,” she added. “And we hope that anyone in the Lieberman campaign found guilty of making false charges is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Emphasis mine. The pretend lawyer in me notes that the claim is charges against Lamont or his campaign. But there are very few people directly tied to the campaign – as well all know from Jane Hamshers despicable Black Face stunt with Lieberman a few days from the primary. Hamsher has been a force in the campaign for a long time, but legally she is not with the campaign. BFD. When the truth comes out Lamont will rightfully be tagged with the sins of his supporters. And if attempts another Lame-ont denial of any connections like he did with Hamsher he will be bigger toast than he already is. This should be fun to watch.
Wanna bet we will see more of this as the election comes closer?
I think the HTML got screwy here…
I think it’s so funny that the democrats are fighting amongst themselves. They are accusing each other of what they always accuse the republicans . I’ve noticed that the democrats accuse their opponents of the crimes that they themselves have committed.
Re culture of corruption. They seem to forget Torrecelli, Monaham, Jefferson. Or maybe they hope the people will forget.
