CIA Fears Democrat Congress – Lawyers Up
Want furter proof the Democrats are on the wrong war path going after Bush and the GOP instead of addressing our enemies? Well, those in the CIA who have been working to find the perpetrators of 9-11, and those attempting new 9-11’s, are fearful of a Democrat Congress and the fact Dems will target our defenders in their blind, BDS-driven rage over Bush:
Justice Department political appointees have strongly backed the CIA interrogations. But “there are a lot of people who think that subpoenas could be coming” from Congress after the November elections or from federal prosecutors if Democrats capture the White House in 2008, said a retired senior intelligence officer who remains in contact with former colleagues in the agency’s Directorate of Operations, which ran the secret prisons.
We must save these brave men and women from personal attack since they have been protecting us. Protect the protectors: Vote Republican!
Sorry, very unsympathetic to the CIA.
They’re the ones that dropped the ball prior to 911.
They’re the ones that sent Joe Wilson to Niger.
They’re the ones that messed up the “slam dunk” of intelligence prior to the Iraq invasion.
They’re the ones that have been leaking, leaking, leaking,…
So in the words of KOS,” Screw ’em!”
You confuse the operatives who are amazing with the analysts who are ridiculous.
I would disagree it is “analysts” versus “operatives”… for one thing, the CIA’s “operatives” mainly consists of about 7,000 Case Officers, not real “operatives” at all. Their job is to handle agents and create agents… rather then the whole “James Bond” sort of picture we tend to have of the CIA. (Maybe this is known, but just noting.)
There are a lot of leftists in government today… no doubt many operating as analysts in the CIA, many more operating in managerial roles in the CIA and other key agencies. We just had Clinton in power for eight years and he, no doubt, helped install a lot of lefties.
I do work in security research, not there, but I know I have to argue my research based on facts. Management makes decisions on that research. Bias comes in when Management doesn’t want to hear assessments that are realistic or go against their world view. Management, ultimately, would be the point of bias.
The CIA has, historically, been jostled around severely over the years by the Left. They have armed them heavily with the Left. They have fired a lot of good people.
But, what do we expect from almost any organization where today the “greyhairs” are almost invariably going to be college educated… and therefore ex-hippies?
No offense to non-hippy babyboomers.
