Is It Treason To Aid Our Enemies?
One would think so. If a Democrat went to Bin Laden to negotiate our surrender of Iraq as we waged war and in defiance of our President – wouldn’t that be treason? Most would say, yes it is. So why is it three prominent Democrat Senators have been found to have done something very similar – tipping off our enemies, and even helping them build media campaigns against our own government?
AJ: again, I reiterate, the news that Jimmy Carter talked to Soviet Ambassador Dobrynin, and told him he thought it was in “our” mutal best interest, if Reagan wasnt’ re-elected!
Have you heard of this AJ; any truth to it?
Don’t mist this 3 year old story that goes back to the days of Jimmy Carter.
AJ, I have enjoyed your work, as well as the work of people such as MacRanger and others, for a couple of years now. But I must admit to being somewhat perplexed. You would think that a subject as important as this one and other related events would be the cause of much coverage, debate, and outrage, but from what I can see, outside of pages such as yours, is pretty much nothing. The MSM seems to have a lockdown on such stories.
For example , Mac did a series of articles on some arguably treasonus acts by the likes of Durbin and Rockefeller, predicting a “bang of a summer”. Yet, as summer came and went, there was nothing about any of this, despite much impossible to dismiss facts and documentation such as Rockefeller’s Syria adventure.
As a matter of fact, it seems like most times in the last month or so that I’ve watched C-Span, I’e seen Durbin and Rockefeller holding court on the senate floor with more lies, accusations, and unfounded broadbrush statements and accusations than ever before- and no one has said boo.
Perhaps it would be better if folks such as yourself found a way to hold the MSM more to account about their ommisions and distortions. Because I gotta tell ya, buddy, from where I sit, we’re losing every PR war there is, and nobody seems to know, or care.
SemperFiAZ,
I can only tell you I am as stunned as you are. I have no clue why these people dismiss these acts so casually. They do have a super hero complex, where only they can save the world – no two ways about it. The purity of their quest enables them to gain superhuman abilities and never be wrong. They prove the dangers on being self deluded.
I too have been awaiting the ‘bang of a summer’ – now that we are in the Fall. What happened to the NSA leak investigation? What happened to Mary McCarthy? Mac has the inside connections, not me. Though I am about to break one of my rules and ask some folks I know what they are hearing. (I hate to put neighbors and friends on the hook).
I will say this. A major segment of my family is die hard democrat, and they are not happy with the leaks and the treasonous acts. They are listening. In fact most people are quietly watching and learning. You may be surprised to know there are nearly 850 registered commenters on this site. I would say a couple dozen post regularly. Some have left because I am not conservative or liberal enough. But there are a lot of folks who are digesting what they see and preparing to make their choice.
The media lifestyle and world view has been rejected for many decades now. Most people will not sacrifice family for fame and riches. Most know there is little value or reward in owning the most toys and being able to order others around because you pay them. The majority do things out of the goodness of their hearts, hope to be asked and wonder in amazement at those who offer to help. The media is loud, but it has always been a loud example of what not to be. PR is not the answer. The answer is out there and it is only heard when you stop and listen. Not something the liberals have any talent in doing.
Thanks, AJ
Clarice, no need to thank me for your good work!
It is amazing these idiots decided to play God with our country’s foreign policy.
AJ, I appreciate your responce, and your points are well taken. I guess the angle I’m trying to get at isn’t so much the MSM and their reporting methods or agendas. They are hopeless to try to change or even reason with, and they are not stupid; they know exactly what they are doing (e.g. the CNN imbed controversey.).
What worries me most, in my experience, is the people around us that you discuss; I am astonished at their ignorance, and views formed largely, if not entirely, by the likes of CNN. Got into a knock down- drag out with some folks I know at a small local watering hole. It started when after a CNN segment about Iraq aired on the tv, there was a chorus of “our troops are getting there asses kicked”. I countered with no, you don’t know what’s going on, and you won’t get the truth off of CNN. They countered with what do I know, CNN said… you get the point.
Disgusted, since over the last year or so I had cultivated many of these same people to think for themselves by getting some context and perspective using different websites, yours included, I walked out with a comment to the effect of”when it comes here and you want to know why, how could this happen, just look in the mirror.”I feel that the problems are much deeper than you bloggers realize.
Got to run; I’ll check in later. And fear not, buddy, I will continue to check in on your site every day. Keep up the great work, and hang tough.
As to why the summer came and went without a “bang”, is it possible that the Bush administration is simply waiting until the elections are over?
After all, any Justice Department investigation into Democrat wrongdoing will be spun by the MSM as a dirty political trick to swing the elections. Don’t expect a probe of Rockefeller/Harman/Jefferson to be met with the same sympathy that the elites granted LibbyGate or the Delay fiasco. In a Congressional race this close, the last thing Republicans need is more negative publicity.
Recall that Bush waited until after the 2004 elections to send troops into Fallujah.
DD, I made basically the same comment to my wife back before Labor Day when she asked why the Administration wasn’t prosecuting all the obvious traitors. With 90% of the referees (the Old Media) bought and paid for, or, at the very least, ideologically aligned with the Dems, one doesn’t need a vivid imagination to see how it would have been spun.
Now if some serious prosecutions don’t materialize after the election, I’m going to be disappointed. and I’m not talking about censure or fines; I’m talking about some vacation time in the federal graybar hotel at Leavenworth, KS.
RS,
“Now if some serious prosecutions don’t materialize after the election, I’m going to be disappointed. and I’m not talking about censure or fines; I’m talking about some vacation time in the federal graybar hotel at Leavenworth, KS. ”

I am afraid with hundreds of Clinton appointees in the CIA, FBI, State Dept., AND Justice, we will have a very difficult time. However, that does NOT mean that we should just give up, throw up our hands, and say “what can we do?” Was the lack of will to prosecute Sandy Burger just the tip of the iceberg? I don’t know. I just have to believe that the Grand Jury is operating in good faith and doing its work well.
I, like most people who comment on this blog, are appalled at the seeming lack of progress in defining what we are up against. I have a little more confidence now at what is going to happen in the upcoming election and you are reading one of the best blogs for inspiring that small confidence.
Thanks AJ for keeping us informed and sane. It would be a crazy world out there if all we had to tell us what was going on was CNN. I quit CNN two years before the last election because I saw what was coming. It was becoming more and more obvious that the Democrats will stop at nothing to win…even if that includes the destruction of this country and its moral foundation. Before Clinton’s last term, I had been registered as a Democrat for nearly 30 years. The party is simply beyond saving. Neither Zell Miller or Joe Lieberman have been able to save it from itself. The party is now under the control of the extreme left and that is beyond shame. That is a tragedy!

The party is now under the control of the extreme left and that is beyond shame. That is a tragedy!
What is a tragedy, Carol, is that, instead of being marginalized and relegated to the dustbin of history as should be the case, the Left is making a serious run at reacquiring power. I’m of the same opinion as you and AJ, that, two weeks from tomorrow, they’ll fail, but the fact that the outcome is even in doubt disturbs me beyond belief. The Left has been on the wrong side of history for as long as I can remember, and yet they never quit. They put the Energizer Bunny to shame.
‘the Democrats will stop at nothing to win…even if that includes the destruction of this country ‘………..here here Carol. The progressives have a firm lock on their party, and that lock has no love of country attached to it. They yell and scream ‘how dare you question our patriotism’……….they don’t know the meaning of the word and they damn sure have no honor.
As a young man I was never afraid that a Democratic President would sell us down the drain. As an older man I am very afraid. Lyndon Johnson might have been an s.o.b., but he WAS the President. Jimmy Carter was just an s.o.b., and it’s all been down hill from there.
Agree with you both Retired and Limerick. I have had enough of this nightmare. Another sleepless night on election day is not what I would have hoped for…its sort of like watching a train wreck in slow motion over and over. No matter what you do you can’t take your eyes off of it.
Carol
Back in the 60’s there was an author, James Drury I think, (the Tom Clancy of the day), who wrote a series of political thrillers about communism/progressives vs right wingers. They were great books.
Drury had a keen eye for the lack of backbone of American progressives.
sorry….Allen Drury (geez there is a lot of dust on this box of books)
