Al Qaeda In Iran

Published by at 12:48 pm under All General Discussions,Iran

Another non-surprise from the Libby trial – al Qaeda connections to Iran:

C Also monitored student protests in Iran. Student protests erupted.

TYOI Signs of internal turmoil in Iran, that “people” in USG monitored quite closely.

C Student protests something that you and Libby were monitoring.

TYOI tried to watch internal sit in Iran closely.

C Iran harboring AQ leaders, some of whom had contacts outside of Iran.

TYOI THis has all been declassified by govt?

C Just a yes or no, please?

TYOI Yes.

Under oath. Well, now the conspiracy theorists have something to be distracted with.

Al Qaeda has attacked Iraqi Shias with as much
hatred as they have the American occupier, killing substantial numbers.

This means Sunni jihadists of the AQ stripe “don’t take orders well” & there is no monolithic threat emanating from a Sunni/Shia AQ
combine. But the Birchers believed the Sino-Soviet split
of the Cold War was fake too and we would be overrun by
    both working in concert.

I am trying to decide if Lasso is a seminar poster or a sock puppet.

Perhaps it is a slow day over at Huffington Post.

    AJ

I saw you posted over at JOM and linked your blog.

Good of you to draw down some of the swill likely to propagate there.

Perhaps I should start a sacrificial anode blog just to draw their fire.

    Lasso,
Now that the Cold War is over and the Soviet archives have been opened, it is a good time for you to re-examine some of your old uninformed biases.

Chinese communism and Soviet communism, both, posed a threat to world order. Today, Sunni and Shia islamic fascism, both, pose a threat to world order. Parsing their degree of cooperation is a tactic to create an illusion that no threat exists.

The Left never changes its stripes.

  4. lassoingtruth says:

“World order,” was not the thrust of Strata’s linkage .

But searching the Soviet archives would be assured of not
revealing any secret Sino-Soviet co-operation, more likely,
discussion about how to deal with Nixon-Kissinger
ping-pong diplomacy , which attempted to encircle the USSR .

  5. The Macker says:

Soviet archives conclusively showed Soviet operatives in the US, which conservatives always maintained. But you dismiss them with a sneering “Bircher” label.

  6. lassoingtruth says:

No, I dismiss those who infer monolithic Islamic movements
as Birch-like because Robert Welch and co. went well beyond
claiming Soviet operatives were here and also portrayed a conspiratorial ideology functioning monolithically, ie overcoming national and ethnic differences, Russian and Chinese, to threaten America. In similar manner, Strata, infers “conspiracy” here,a secret Islamic monolith overcoming Sunni-Shia differences in cohesive manner to threaten America. It’s all in his head.

    Lasso

Where out of the post did you dig up this concept?

You continue to bring cards to the table that haven’t been played.

  8. lassoingtruth says:

Linking AQ to Iran is like saying Tito was still working with
Soviets long after he shunned them. But Strata has been ruthless
in exagerrating AQ in Iraq and conflating it with the nonsensical
all-encompassing term “Islamo-fascism,” so nothing is beneath
his desperate interventionist propaganda justifying the MI complex,
that is , Empire policing of the subject world.

get this-Al Qaeda Sunni jihadists are now attacking Iran’s military
but Strata wants us to believe Iran is working with AQ.
