Top Pakistan Nuclear Scientists in Taliban Custody?
I pray this is false:
Two top nuclear scientists of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) are currently in Taliban custody. The two were working at PAEC’s facility in North West Frontier Province. Zee News investigations reveal that the two scientists were kidnapped about six months ago. To avoid international embarrassment Pakistan Government has kept this information under wraps.
I don’t know this news source and can’t vouch for their accuracy. If this news is true, it is a blockbuster.
True or false?
In a mud hut, somewhere, nuclear geeks are performing miracles? And, convince the taliban fruit cakes that they’re mixing up a nuke bomb?
And, then what? A game of baseball, where they throw it?
Meanwhile, like democraps, it seems the terrorists also eat each other for lunch, in ways that are non-sexual.
Of course, the arrangements that take the leg shackles off the “scientists,” so they can work, must be an arrangement in detail we have not quite figured out, have we?
It isn’t so much that the Taliban have the scientists themselves as it is that Pakistan’s nuclear infrastructure is vulnerable to attack by the Taliban. That the Taliban can capture their scientists leads one to wonder if they could also capture the weapons themselves or the materials used to make the weapon. What if the Taliban kidnaps the family of a worker in one of those facilities and demands materials or weapons as ransom? This is the problem with nuclear weapons in unstable third world countries.
