First off there are all the increased bombings and attacks from London to Turkey. That is on the terrorists side. And on the good guys/gals side is the actions in Afghanistan and Iraq. And now Pakistan nabs 5 AQ leaders.

Pakistani intelligence agents have arrested five senior Taliban leaders, including a deputy to fugitive Taliban chief Mullah Mohammed Omar, a security official said.

The arrests were made Monday after security agents made raids on several homes in northwestern Pakistan, the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said.

He identified two of the captured men as Maulvi Abdul Qadeer, a deputy to Omar, and Abdul Kabir, a former governor in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province.

The official would not disclose the names of the remaining three leaders, but said “they are also important Taliban leaders who are in our custody and being interrogated in Pakistan.”

There has been a lot of action in the GWOT this month, no two ways about it.
