Obama’s Predicted Fall Continues Apace
Yesterday I predicted Obama’s poll ‘bounce’ from his whirl wind gaffe tour would not last, and in fact he would drop back into a tie (or worse) with McCain before the end of the week. So far that prediction is coming true as we look at the Gallup Daily Tracking Poll numbers come in:
Â
To anyone outside the liberal media groupie class the Obama trip was filled with horrible gaffes which highlighted the man’s inexperience and the fact he is not ready to be POTUS. After all the media coverage and money Obama is going to find himself barely holding on instead being a shoe-in this fall. And once the credibility is shot like his is, there is no time to recover. Â Maybe in 2012 Dems.
I hope you are right. Obama creeps me out. I mean that seriously. I am not just talking about his politics either.
The only thing that scares me about that pretty little graph AJ, is that I don’t see McCain’s “line”, on top, ever….
Also AJ; I’ve lived in your state, VA, half my life: Alexandria, McLean, Mount Vernon, Falls Church, Vienna, Quantico, Rippn Landing, Alexandria again, Seven Corners, Herndon, etc.
But I haven’t lived there in 9 years.
Question: why are you so sure, that Keane on Obama’s ticket won’t throw the state to Obama?
I’m not disputing your analysis, I have no idea at all; I’m just curious why you are so sure?
That’s a must have state for McCain…
Dale, remember the internals of these polls-more often there are more dems than republicans.
And likely voters is closer to reality than registered voters. Just one small point.
The press coverage of Obama’s travels reminds me of the Kennedy’s trip to Europe where all the news was of how “Jackie was taking Europe by a storm.” and how the Europeans just loved her. We heard nothing of Jack’s poor performance in his meetings with Krushchev leading Krushchev to sum him up as ” a weak character who could be easily pushed around.” His lousy performance led to the Missle Crisis which was resolved only after the Joint Chiefs of staff gave Kennedy a deadline to get the missles removed or face a military Coup. Bobby Kennedy carried the message to the Russian Ambassador, leading Krushchev to withdraw his missles from Cuba to keep from having to deal with General Curtis Lemay. Who is going to go crying to our enemies for Obama after he pulls off a similar gaff?
Dale:
There was that USA Today Gallup poll that put McCain on top. It was not so long ago that McCain was on top of most the polls, then the Democrats stopped slapping each other around and the numbers reversed. However, no one has made it past 50% yet.
Dale,
The reason Kaine is not likely to win is he is the CURRENT governor and the lightening rod for all the frustration with the government right now. Warner would have been possible – he has been out of office a long time. But I do note Warner bowed out of the opportunity too – which is telling.
