Wow, Obama’s Iraq Position Opposed By 80% Of America
Obama’s world tour debacle keeps hitting his campaign with more and more body blows as America decides victory in Iraq is more important than ending the war in Iraq. Gallup has some stunning numbers out which show 80% of Americans are not lined up behind Obama’s stubbornly pessimistic view that the Surge was the wrong path to take in Iraq:
A new USA Today/Gallup poll finds nearly half of Americans saying the U.S. troop surge in Iraq, now over, has made the situation there better, up from 40% in February and just 22% a year ago. Accordingly, the percentage believing the surge “is not making much difference” has declined from 51% a year ago, and 38% in February, to just 32%.
What is clear is only 17% buy into the Obama position the Surge made things worse and was not worth it. The rest of the country is positive or neutral. On the signature issue of our times, Obama and the Surrendercrats are (as usual) seriously out of step with America.  Look at the numbers  year ago and America has moved from pessimistic to optimistic. Obama clearly has not ‘moved on’ yet. Wonder if he realizes he is disagreeing with America, and being arrogantly stubborn about it to boot.
Not bad for a guy running for President of this great country. Wrong on Iraq, and wrong on energy independence, the two most important issues of this young century.
Just wait until his fan club on the left finds out that he intends to leave a ‘residual’ force in Iraq of undetermined size whose mission will be condition based.
Just wait until the voters wake up and do the math on his trillion dollar promise to lift Africa out of poverty. Add that trillion to the 500 billion predicted deficit for next year and we will probably be facing national bankruptcy. That is, unless he figures out how to tax the rich (everybody who has a job) and raise that trillion dollars he plans to pour down the same rat hole that has already consumed hundreds of billions over the past decades, most of which has made it’s way into Swiss Bank Accounts of corrupt politicians and terrorists. I am beginning to think this boy ain’t got too many smarts. He must have made it through his math classes by using the affirmative action promotion programs designed to develope everybody’s self esteem. You can see that he passed Self Esteem with flying colors. Excuse me , I have to go put some air in my tires so gas prices will go down.

*sigh* Please, this is a pretty ridiculous assertion on your part. Here’s what Obama actually said:
“There is no doubt that the extraordinary work of our U.S. forces has contributed to a lessening of the violence”
So, the poll says Americans think the Surge made the situation better, and Obama says so too. Where’s the disagreement?
