McCain Headlines Hillary Supporter Who Switched To GOP – Updated!
This is just the kind of ad the Democrats fear:
The reason they fear it is because they dare not attack the young democrat woman who has decided experience is much more important than ‘change’ (whatever that means). But attacked she will be, by the arrogant and oppressive purity police that inhabit both parties and who savage people who do not mindlessly toe the party line.
And that is when Obama will lose the independents and the election. I am not sure he can do anything to avoid this crackup on the left. But the far left fringe still hates the moderate left with a passion that is absolutely revolting. They will overreact in their scorn and purge the party of the centrists they need to win. Just watch.

Oh, I dare.
1) Hillary herself has come out in support of Obama, and has said outright that voting for John McCain is wrong. So, the woman obviously doesn’t care about Hillary’s opinions, despite supporting her.
2) Hillary’s and Obama’s positions on most policies are almost exactly the same. McCain, on the other hand, disagrees with Hillary on just about every one of those, most of of them strikingly so (Health care, abortion, the war in Iraq, Supreme Court Justices, etc.) So, she obviously doesn’t care about Hillary’s policies, either.
So, despite claiming to be “a proud Hillary Clinton democrat”, she does not support Hillary’s choice of candidates, nor her policy stances. So, what did she actually support about Hillary?
Anyone that claims to be a Hillary supporter that is now voting for McCain is either A) racist, B) sexist, C) a rat-f*ck*ng Republican, or D) a moron. Or possibly E) all of the above.

And there are people on the right who are just as bad. Last night I got in a discussion with someone from the right who has no intention of voting for McCain. He feels that his fellow GOPers has betrayed him and he is hoping that an Obama win will bring the party back to the right path.
If the far right sits this out and helps Obama win the same way Ross Perot helped Clinton win then I really do think the Republican party should try and cut ties with them.
But the Democrats are in worse shape. They have a woman who got 18 million votes only to be displaced by a less qualified man. A lot of those folks are pissed.

Now that, I can respect – and I agree with him 100%. He’s decided not to vote for McCain because he disagrees with him, and the entire GOP stance. Good for him – IMO, we should all vote based upon issues, not just blind party affiliation.
However, the woman in that video says she supports Hillary, and she isn’t voting for Obama because… he isn’t Hillary. That is just the height of stupidity. Is anyone going to actually try and make the point that McCain’s views and policies are closer to Hillary’s than Obama’s are?

With all the talk of purity on both sides of the aisle, I am beginning to agree more and more with AJ. The extremes on both sides are toxic and just impede national unity of any kind.
