The latest, faked liberal media story against Palin has just been doused. The claims have been running in the ‘news’ media that Palin and/or her family pressured the Public Safety Commissioner (her police chief who serves at her pleasure) to fire her former brother-in-law. The Palin campaign has released an affidavit that, in the very first line, debunks that claim:

“For the record, no one ever said fire Wooten [Palin brother-in-law]. Not the Governor. Not Todd [Palin’s husband]. Not anyone of the staff …”

Gee, when the man who claims he was fired because he was pressured to fire Officer Wooten admits no one ever said ‘fire Wooten” the case is closed. The rest is reasonable doubt around misunderstanding what was being communicated.

The other aspect of this case which is a killer for the left is this all started AFTER Wooten was placed on a Domestic Violence Protective Order. This order was imposed because Trooper Wooten was making death threats against Governor Palin’s sister, his own son, Palin’s daughter and her father (if I read the affidavit properly).

Did the news media report the death threats in their reporting? Hell no. Why would they sully there faked-up sewer bilge with fact Palin’s family was being stalked and threatened? Has the news media looked into why this man was considered DANGEROUS to others? Do we need to see another lost and killed wife at the hands of a deranged husband to recall WHY we have these laws and protective orders?

As Police Chief, Monegan had to be coordinated with over these threats. Is this small, measly man so desperate for fame and vengeance that he would twist the case of a stalker to get back at the Governor and lady he apparently let down in his job? And is this really what the Democrats want to be doing – siding with a stalker and an incompetent protector of the peace?

You know why McCain-Palin know there are no other ‘surprises’ out there for the liberal media to implode over. They left these two issues as bait for the juvenile haters to fall into the trap of their own anger. A daughter is pregnant and is going to start her family – how horrible, at least to a news media and liberal base that apparently will never reach maturity in their lifetimes. And the fact a man was threatening his wife and sister and both their families IS a firing offense – unless you have two standards for men and women.

McCain-Palin tested the self control and emotional stability of the liberal news media with these two issues, to see if they could research them instead of attempting to exploit them and make politically biased propaganda. The liberal media failed the test, along with the cretins who inhabit the far left blogosphere. They tried the Taliban-like Jihad against the woman Governor Palin, and failed. While they ask for DNA tests from the Palin kids the rest of the country is about ready to demand a sanity test for the news media.

The most damning part is Monegan disagreed with Palin’s policies and was offered a different job in her administration. He refused. Technically, she never fired him, he quit on his own. This case is going nowhere.
