McCain wants to change DC, Obama wants to change America!
I know the Palin Derganged liberal media is cheering POLITICAL conclusion that Governor Palin abused her powers as governor in trying to protect her family from a stalking, abusive brother-in-law. The key point in the report:
A legislative investigator found that Palin violated state ethics laws and abused her power by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper.

The legislative committee that released the report Friday recommends no criminal investigation and has no authority to sanction the governor, the Republican vice presidential nominee.
A bunch of political men got together to slap Sarah for trying to do what the state should have done when THE STATE determined the guy threatened to kill a fellow citizen: There are the facts never reported by the media – but well known to the public.  From a previous post on the matter:
According to other reports there is a lot of baggage with Micheal Wooten, who appears to be a royal screw up and possibly a stalker. Here is some independent reporting

The man is certifiable, that much is clear. He was out of control, tasering kids and threatening to kill someone. And this nutjob was being protected by another man who physically abused his wife – the wayward “Commissioner Of Public Safety”:

How is that for irony? The left is getting all tingly in their legs – well at least the emotionally immature male left who get excited about these kinds of things. The ladies out there are start to feel something a lot less positive.
So, a group of pols who oppose Palin in Alaska wrote a report concluding she abused her power against an abusive husband or two. And somehow that will make Obama’s friendship with a couple of unrepentant terrorists go away?
Too funny. You can tell the left has lost their minds because if you think through the two situations you can see it as a net loser for Obama. Palin’s family was haunted and actually threatened by one of those classic abusive males. She tries to do something about the jerk. Women are going to go “you go girl”! Only really dumb men will say that is abusing the abuser.
And Obama’s pal came very close to having one of his bombs go off at a military dance where hundreds of our service men and women, and their dates and spouses, where out for the evening. If Ayers’ luck had held there would have been hundreds of dead and injured Americans as a result.
Palin takes on an violent abusive nut job, Obama befriends a violent dangerous nut job. Seems crystal clear to me which way the public will go.

I find that, although Walt Monegan’s refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.
So the media lies – which is why as a business it is worthless. Hope people get their money out of those stocks real soon!

I loved the AOL headline, it said that Palin acted unlawfully. In fact that is not what the report said at all. It said she acted lawfully and with proper authority, the question was one of ethics. And that was because she failed to reign in her husband.
I call bs on this.

Failure to reign in her husband? How was she supposed to do that? This whole kangaroo court thingy is BS. They say she did nothing wrong but her husband “meddled” in trooper affairs? As a private citizen whose family was threatened by said trooper he had a perfect right to “meddle” in trooper affairs especially since the trooper association was not inclined to rein him in. And did her husband insist they fire this sociopath? No, he is still a trooper and probably still abusing his position with anyone else who crosses him. Who do these people think they are? In the first place the legislature was never authorized according to Alaska law to even hold this hearing. In the second place they are political opponents, all of them, so no credence should be given to their findings. The proper authorities are still investigating this matter. But even this kangaroo court said she did nothing wrong so where is the story? In the same dustbin with the baby’s parentage, their daughter’s pregnancy, their son’s reasons for entering the military and the youngest daughter using spit to brush the baby’s hair. The media has lost its collective mind not to speak of its reputation.

hmmm… let me see if I understand… she is the governor of a state. So therefore it’s more important to decipher WHY she acted the way she did (to protect her own family) than try do decide if, by law, a governor in general is allowed to act in that exact way, for any reason. Is that correct?
And if a panel of educated people, close to the situation, decide that the actions warrant an investigation, it is because questionable motives and circumstances surround an issue and it deserves a closer look. right?
So why are we even discussing the troopers behavior? Its a question of what a governor of a state can do versus what a governor cannot do. He could be the worst, most vile person on earth, yet that is essentially beside the point. It brings sensational feelings and emotional bias into a legal question that is completely our of our hands to determine, as supporters.
If she acted wrong, she acted wrong. period. Do we understand why she might of did what she did? Of course we do, its her family – and nobody, I MEAN NOBODY, on either side, is saying its ok to harass women… that’s a political spin and I KNOW nobody on the right would engage in such tactics, that’s evil liberal behavior. we are interested in truth and law and straight talk, even if it means our own candidate may be less than perfect. we will admit it, and admit it freely.
She is trying to show the American people that she is uniquely qualified for the highly important job of vice president of the united states, right? It is our right to investigate her and determine whether or not she is fit, is it not? The VP of the USA, for gods sake is not a joke, so how about looking into things she did, as governor, among other things, to determine, beyond a doubt that there in no other individual alive on earth, besides Sarah Palin, who is more qualified to perform ALL of the duties of the vice presidency and essentially, be the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES at a moments notice.
