Democrat Nightmare – VP Rice!

Published by at 4:49 pm under All General Discussions,Plame Game

In a funny twist of ratcheting rumors with the idea Cheney’s office may be sucked into the Plame Game, it appears the right is calling the left’s bluff with rumors that Cheney would resign and Bush would appoint Sec State Rice.

Sparked by today’s Washington Post story that suggests Vice President Cheney’s office is involved in the Plame-CIA spy link investigation, government officials and advisers passed around rumors that the vice president might step aside and that President Bush would elevate Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Too funny!

    Hell,

I’m hoping Dick grabs his chest, yells out,”Lynne, it’s the big one!” and resigns sometime between now and 2008.

    President Condi on the way!

Oh Walter, Walter, Walter…what have you done?

The WH knew about this Plame mess prior to the 2004 election. Moreover, they know aheckofalot more about it than the rest of us. Why, then, would Bush keep Cheney, Libby, Rove (or anyone else for that matter) PLUS promote Bolton to the UN if the President thought any of these people might damage the Adminstration? It would seem that they should have been eased out prior to November 2004. Doesn’t make sense to me.

  4. Thanks for the head’s up, AJ. How very interesting. But Lesley is being far too reasonable. Doesn’t she realize that the idiot Bush is simply the pawn of these people and they’ve kept their greasy, corrupt paws on power up until the last possible moment out of sheer self-interest (good lord, they’ve even spread their venom to the otherwise blameless and saintly UN), but tomorrow their number will be up and they will all be tossed summarily into prison, leaving the country without any meaningful leadership until the Democrats take over in ’08?

Why doesn’t Wolf Blitzer try to go and tell that to all the Iraqis who voted on Saturday? Or is that a non sequitor in his world?

The “Cheney resignation rumors” story is one of the great unsubstantiated smear-jobs on record. It is utter madness that US News and World Report is running this as “news.” But as a foot note, knowing Bush, I suspect that if we do enter an alternate universe and Cheney resigns, we should watch out not so much for Condi, but for the man walking behind the VP in the US News picture. Now THAT would make the heads of the collective left explode.

LOL AE. Its the first time in many years anyone has linked my name with the word “reasonable.” I thank you. Being that Rumsfield is one of my particular favorites, I smiled with diabolical delight at the thought of collective lefty heads exploding.

  6. Right back at you, Lesley–it always reaffirms my faith in the human race when I find another Rumsfeld fan.
