Confucious and the GOP

Coalition of the Chillin’ member My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has a post on a saying by Confucious that is perfect for the times:

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall”

Not being up on Confucious I can say this has been one of my mantras for many years. My version is “If you can learn to be embarrassed [by doing something that fails], then you can be and do whatever you want in life”.

I guess the question on many large issues of the day (judicial nominees and filibusters, social security reform, the EU constitution and Iraq) represent opportunities for the GOP (and others) to test themselves. How will they rise up from the current situations?
