The liberals in Congress and the media took a pounding tonight as they were forced to stand and fight for what the believed in or cut and run.

The House voted 403-3 to reject a nonbinding resolution calling for an immediate troop withdrawal.

The dems cut and ran to the face saving vote that said no to any immediate pull out. They had to stand by the troops for the reasons I hinted at here and here.

The dems had no choice but to hide their feelings and kill off the debate about pulling troops out of Iraq. The leftward fringes have to be beside themselves tonight as the pols dumped them again in a vote reminiscent of the post 9-11 votes. That was an impressive and powerful example of political jujitsu – taking an opponents strongest weapon (argument) and truning it against them.

We had the chance to withdraw our troops with a resolution in the house and none of our reps had a spine to back up their constituents.

Well 3 representatives had a spine.

I want to know who they are.

They will will go down in history for their courage!!!!!

Nancy, if it was a vote to support the troops and represented your belief, why would it matter one way or the other? Why is it a shame to vote how you feel? Why is it ‘rank’?
