Blue Dog Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN) revealed, Democrats were told directly not to work with Republicans.

While Democrat plants are carrying Hitler posters, SIEU thugs are beating up conservative protesters, and anti-Obamacare protesters are being told to shut up and kept from entering halls (where Obama supporters are quietly allowed into side doors)…..

Obamacare supporters are being bussed in and handed pre-made professional signs.

It is so obvious where the American people are on this. But, yet, Dem Cong/Senators keep making excuses and pretending this is not where the majority of Americans are.

The government seems to be betraying the people they represent…..and the people know it.

Theatrics like this won’t have the same impact that they would have had in the past for several reasons. Mostly because the media and the Democrats have engaged in theatrics like this for so long that the people now recognize it for what it is and ignore it. And the press has lost all credibility and nobody puts much stock on “news” reporting anymore either. So it isn’t likely to have much of an impact.

It is quite common in the Western US desert and mountain regions to see people with a sidearm in a holster unconcealed. You never know when you might run across a cougar, rattlesnake, rabid coyote, or a prairie dog with plague.

One of my favorite internet quotes is something along the lines of “gun bans are to murder as banning blenders are to drunk driving”.

It must be in the Dem playbook. Say it is so, then make it so. Then cry outrage.

Gov Ed Rendell said these nutty town hall protests are done by the “birthers”. He tried to paint it all on the birthers.

Democrats are so wrong to take this strategy of dismissing average Americans upset with their government.

But this, and your comment, dhunter, point out a significant mistake this man made. First of all, ljstrata pointed out that he was in accordance with the laws of his jurisdiction, so this is a mistake of appearance, not law. But every CHL holder should always remember that guns are a serious business, and that carrying them is a serious responsibility. They are meant for personal protection – they are NOT meant to be political props! A concealed weapon is supposed to be exactly that – CONCEALED. A casual passerby should never be able to see it or guess that you are carrying; to do otherwise is to let the weapon be a potential nonverbal threat or form of intimidation. That is NOT why those laws were passed, and people who try to use them as props under color of law threaten to ruin things for the rest of us who take advantage of these laws responsibly.

The weapon should never be seen unless the carrier has a reasonable, honest belief that he is in imminent physical danger. This usually means center back, under the beltline and under a light covering garment in the summer when jackets can’t be worn. Anything more public is irresponsible, even if it is legal.

An armed public = a polite public!

It is when honest citizens are disarmed that the crooks and thieves move in. Either the crooks and thieves from the community or from the government!

It’s reasonable to not understand the intricacies of gun laws; many vary from state to state, and few are written especially clearly.

But you’d hope that television commentators would take the time to learn at least a little before calling for measures such as court injunctions and disarming by police.

Not to mention that he was filmed when the President was still in DC. Don’t you wish they’d fact check first!
