O-Bomba’s Olympic Failure

Published by at 11:54 am under All General Discussions

I have been quietly rooting for Rio to get the 2016 Olympics since North America has hosted a lot of Olympiads and South America none. So the breaking news that O-Bomba bombed out in the first round is fine with me.

But the fact that our distracted President has wasted time wooing the international community on this low priority, while the economy continues to go south (more on that in a later post) and we have to win the war in Afghanistan is a sign of trouble for our young President.

He has failed to correct our economy, he has failed to listen to the rising concerns over his take over of our nation’s health care, he has failed to figure out his plan for winning Afghanistan. He has failed to live up to the hype.

The guy is proving that experience does count. He has been playing Pitch-Man in Chief, flitting from one topic to another while his administration bungles through one embarrassing moment after another. His lack of executive experience is becoming glaringly obvious. He talks all about himself and how ‘he/we’ has done this and ‘he/we’ has done that. What’s this ‘we’ stuff Kimosabe?

In his speeches and his attitude America was a dismal failure until he graced our presence.

I see a one term wonder arising from all this failure.

Even the most loyal democrats have to now ask themselves – he dropped everything he was doing, for THIS????

How stupid must his advisors be? Hasn’t anyone told them that you NEVER put your prestige on the line this way unless you’ve got the thing in the bag well ahead of time? I for one thought this was a done deal precisely because I never imagined Axelrod and Emmanuel could be this mind-numbingly stupid! But apparently they are exactly what they appear – petty crooks and thugs who have risen far past the level they ever should have been allowed to handle, and who now are completely oblivious to the massive damage they are doing daily not only to this country but to the man who they are supposed to be supporting.

I wrote last November that this administration would be a total failure. But My God! the incompetence now on display is far beyond anything that even I had considered possible.

This date – October 2nd, 2009 – is going to be looked back on as the day it became obvious to everyone except the blind.

I agree WWS. I thought he was too stupid to go unless it was a done deal. I guess we underestimated him.

Right now Rush is saying he was bitch slapped. he he he he.

So much for Michelle’s great sacrifice.

A STUNNING DEFEAT FOR AN INVINCIBLE PERSONA. Now we all know. It can be done and we will do it to save our country. We are no longer in the wilderness. Millions marched, Obama didn’t hear us or see us, neither did MSM. Will they see us now, will they hear us now?

I heard Obama made his plea for the Olymics reading from his teleprompter. So sad. I only heard part of Michelle’s plea. But, what I heard sounded like it was all about the Obama family. If so, bad approach.

I would normally root for my country; however, it was all about cronyism and the corrupt Chicago political gang making all kinds of money out of this (at the expense of the poor people who live in those properties). So, I am glad Chicago did not get it. Valerie Jarret will just have to keep maintaining her slum buildings.

I hope Rio wins it also.

There is an old saying about a hammer and a nail. We can update if for Obama: If your only tool is a campaign speech, then every problem looks like a campaign.

We have to be careful – it is a long time from now until 2012. His supporters are still rabid and should the wrong person be chosen as the candidate – (example: think Bob Dole) he could rise from his ashes. Can’t you just see the propaganda poster now? Yikes!

Crosspatch! That is funny and spot on.

Loved many comments at hotair. One said that this is the first time he or she felt proud of America since November 2008.

As for 2012, we have to make sure Obama is a one term and only one term even at a later time.

Bret’s All Star panel strongly advised Obama and Biden to stop selling the American Public that their stumulus bill is working and saving jobs but to wait until spring or fall.

Steve Hayes said that if those unemployment numbers improve next year, then Obama will not be harmed.

    What do you think?

We TOLD him not to go! But he wouldn’t listen to us….
Now ALL of America is looking stupid.

Nice goin’ you jerks from Chicago. We’ve had it with you all.

  15. crosspatch says:

    Lurker:

I don’t believe it is going to matter what unemployment numbers are doing next year, honestly. What is more important to my mind is this whole notion that the people are the federal government’s children and that we need to simply shut up and do as we are told.

The attitude of the Obama administration in being so patronizing is extraordinary. The advisers he has chosen are stunning in their complete lack of competence and their reliance on rhetoric over reality. Just believing really, really hard that something works doesn’t make it work. Just because someone (Keynes?) wrote something in a book doesn’t make it so, no matter how much one wants to believe it because it fits validates their world view.

Their entire world view is wrong. It is based on fairy tales. It is a bunch of wishes and pipe dreams. Their way of doing things has been shown over and over again to destroy economies and depress standards of living. Even China is moving away from it.

What unemployment does is nothing compared to the general destruction of wealth that has gone on at the hands of the Democrats.

The question in 2010 will be the same as it was in 1980 … are you better off today than you were four years ago.

  16. crosspatch says:

That should be two years ago, in this case.

What a PR disaster. And another embarrassment for the President, and thanks to him..it is another embarrassment for the rest of us.
