Just like the government decided who deserved loans to buy houses. The motivating factors of our capitalist system will be wiped out as the government will decide who will benefit and who will not. Hard work, education, innovation, self-reliance, freedom from government, will no-longer be relevant. This is a calamity of gigantic portions. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness will be in the hands of government, if you thought government sanctioning abortions was a problem, think of what this will mean. When the government has control of “health care”, they can direct the dollars to those who they deem most deserving. Just like the government decided who deserved loans to buy houses.
