AMA About To Pull Rug From Moderate Democrats

Published by at 11:46 am under All General Discussions

You are a moderate Democrat in a swing district and this weekend your entire career is on the line. You know the Senate will not be voting on health care until after Christmas, so you will be the focus of voter anger from those in opposition. And you can see the wave of GOP wins from Tuesday’s elections in state districts which were in Democrat hands on Monday and which now nearly all turned deep, deep GOP red. You see independents, suburban voters and seniors massing in opposition to the DC liberal health care takeover. And you wonder where you can run for political cover.

How about the AMA? LOL!

Not likely. There is a good chance the AMA will pull the rug out from Mad Madam Pelosi next week, and all those democrats who follow her over the cliff like good little party lemmings:

The American Medical Association House of Delegates drew up a resolution last night which would withdraw their support of the House health care bill. Members are likely to vote on whether or not to withdraw their support of the bill earlier in the week. This action is a result of members within the organization who revolted, when the AMA initially gave the the healthcare legislation its endorsement.

If I was a moderate democrat I would vote to stop the madness. Why would you walk out on this plank for a leadership that could care less about your political career?

happy to hear this. i was appalled to hear the alleged endorsement the other night.

most people do not know that only 27% of doctors belong to the AMA, but still, it was shocking to hear they wanted to cut their own payments and did not want tort reform.

let’s hope some of them comprehended this thing rather than take to the lyrical “ooooo we should cover everyone” wish that has most supporters supporting it. I have yet to meet a supporter who knows anything about the bill other than “ooooo we should cover everyone.”

How come you’ve got to nothing to say about the terrorist attack at Fort Hood? I’m guessing it is because of your love of ethnic diversity and your naive liberal universalism. Best to let the massacre fade into history as it doesn’t comply with your multiculti religion.

“Fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them at home”. LOL. All those lives – including hundreds of British and Canadians – squandered in Afghanistan and Iraq because the Americans don’t believe in human nature but in universal values.

Congressional Democrats seem to have things bassackwards. They appear to operate as if they are representatives of the government to the people rather than being representatives of the people to the government.

Ortega: I am not AJ but I do have a comment on that. It appears to be an attempt to create panic. Looks like some clusters of behavior that the virus has exhibited before.

Powerlineblog.com has some interesting things leaking out about Hasan, AJ…

“But Finnell said no one filed a formal, written complaint about Hasan’s comments out of fear of appearing discriminatory.

In retrospect, I’m not surprised he did it,” Finnell said. “I had real questions about what his priorities were, what his beliefs were.”
“When someone commits an atrocity, there is a common impulse to second-guess authorities of various kinds with a view toward blaming someone other than the perpetrator. Generally, I don’t sympathize with that impulse. But in this case, there appears to be a legitimate question whether political correctness has infected the Army to a degree that has endangered military personnel. That possibility deserves a sober and serious investigation.”
