[...] In the previous post I speculated that someone put an end to the investigation of Major Hasan once he hit the intelligence trip wires in December – and into 2009. Another ‘theme’ is hitting all the news outlets, which could be a coordinated PR effort by some folks who might be at the epicenter of questions on why the US defenses that held so well under President Bush let one threat through under President Obama.
Sally Vee,

While I agree the world will always have its useful idiots, it does not mean we can't be educated enough to avoid electing them into leadership positions.

Please spread the word of this around, and there will be hearings and we will have a teachable moment.

AJ, excellent job threading together information about NSA-FBI-CIA. I am very glad you are doing it but nowhere near as optimistic that this will be some type of "nail in the coffin of liberal stupidity." I fear Obama has many more people besides liberals with him on this subject -- Americans of all political persuasions who are willfully blind to the existential threat to our nation. They *want* to be told lies and sweet bedtime stories. And they *want* to believe terrorism has either a) been defeated or b) never existed in the first place. Nope, sorry. I think we will have to lose an entire American city before we take another baby step forward in fighting for our survival.

Somebody made the decision not to follow the lead by the CIA (NSA) and then the FBI (FIS court). You are correct AJ in saying that DOJ did not do the job. For what reason we can only guess. Perhaps Obama intends to leave the Bush administration policies in place to look like he is fighting terrorists, but they have decided not to use them. Of course that is their prerogative.

Something that I think is interesting is that a lot of information about who this man is and his connections are coming from British reporters. American reporters are then following their lead. Are American reporters afraid to report on the Obama administration?

If this is really the way this went down, DOJ decided not to follow up on Hasan, then Obama is in really big trouble. Because someone will get to the bottom of this. It is not looking pretty. We don't loose American soldiers, on American soil, to an Islamic radical.

Well done AJ

I think that there are Muslims in the United States who radicals would go after to do their dirty deeds. It must be difficult to be a Muslim and serve in our government and more so in the military.
Even so many Muslims have served and have done so with courage and distinction. Because Muslims might be a target of radicals, or use the military or government service as a cover to take down this country we must be on guard with out impugning all Muslims with a radical motive.

I think that NSA communication has to be taken more seriously. This is the lesson of this tragic killing spree.
