There are here a few issues that must be cleared up. Hasan's personnel problems are most likey not in his personnel file. Complaints about behavior are not in one's file, unless they result in disipline and it appears that the Army deep-sixed any concerns, so, unless a complaint was founded, then there would be nothing. Unless an investigator interviewed fellow students and supervisors, they would know nothing about his misconduct.

Next, JTTF is a creature of the FBI, and it is the FBI that completes and is responsible for reports.

Now, the Army CID investigator should have filed a full report on what he knew from the JTTF report and referred it for managemetn action as well as reporting it to NSA and Defense Criminal Investigative Service for a national security investigation. Usually the FBI does not investigate service members for espionage and terrorism related crimes, that is the responsiblilites of NSA and DCIS investigators.

The real failure is Army management who knew he was an Islamist and did nothing.

But this does not excuse the FBI from ignoring the emails and excusing them as research. No reasonable person could conclude that emailing a jihadist had anything to do with treating those heading to a combat assignment.

I doubt if Holder was involved, this was obviously canned at a very low level. It appears that line FBI managers have swallowed PC hook, line and sinker.

Imho, the philosophy of this administration is on exhibit for the world to see and it is a deadly philosophy. And they know they've been caught, imho.

We MUST get the details of hasan's life before they are destroyed.

And there is one thing that is clear, this group in the White House has thinly disguised contempt for America, imho. See the American Spectator article from yesterday, "The Man Who Despises America". Someone had to say it...

AJ, I gotta tell you, I question the judgement of those voters who could not see this administration "from a mile off last year"...

On another topic, did you see the HillBuzz article at l.com regarding their apology to President and Mrs. Bush? If real, it's unbelievable. And an interesting commentary on what's happening to the democrat coalition, imho.

What worries me is the statement that others in contact with the Yemen iman were much more dangerous than Hasan. What does that tell us? We can expect more of these atrocities in the near future. The military and the government itself should make it a rule than anybody in contact with this iman and others like him are to be automatically discharged from the service. Any muslim who sympathizes with suicide bombers or other jihad activities by word or deed should get the same.

I wonder how high up the guilt will go. It sounds to me like someone high up ordered the cessation of this investigation into Hasan's activities. Whoever is responsible should be drummed out of government immediately even if it is the president himself.

One official involved in the conversations had reportedly told colleagues that he worried that if Hasan deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, he might leak secret military information to Islamic extremists. Another official reportedly wondered aloud to colleagues whether Hasan might be capable of committing fratricide, like the Muslim U.S. Army sergeant who, in 2003, killed two fellow soldiers and injured 14 others by setting off grenades at a base in Kuwait.
They connected the dots then sent the dots to Fort Hood.

Sounds like Hasan should not have been on any list to be deployed especially Afghanistan. So while I agree Holder is the wrong man for AG, it appears the Army screwed up all along in evaluating and promoting this guy---he was a Major for Christ's sake, that isn't supposed to happen by accident.

AJ--I loved the line about who would want to listen in on the babbling of liberals anyway. This says a lot of the self importance these cretins have for themselves. There has never been a group of attention seeking, nepotistic, mentally immature individuals in our history with the power entrusted to them than this administration. History will write about how badly the disease of BDS impacted the American electorate in 2008 that they tried to give themselves lobotomies rather than demand an appropriate presidential candidate.

This bears repeating and it is my feeling too:

"...the finger pointing and the crazy excuses as to why the investigation was ended do not support the case of the accidentally missed dot. This evidence indicate a hasty cover up of a truly deadly decision inside the Obama administration."

Well done A.J.

It is so painful to be stuck like caged gerbils on a treadmill, experiencing the continuous loop of insanity over and over again. I think America may have actually lost ground since 9-11-09, despite the tools provided to law enforcement during GWB's administration.

Regardless, knowing that a handful of people like you are tracking and recording the facts is comforting to some extent.

We know how this scenario progresses. With obfuscation and eventually, total memory repression. Followed by the next 9-11 and a flurry of shocked expressions and tirades of righteous indignation.

Suppose our Justice Department sees all non-white, non-Jewish members of our society as victims (black, brown, Muslims etc.) and in need of special protection from the rules that white Bush put into place to protect Americans from within and outside our borders?
