Traitor Hasan May Have Been Financing Terrorism

Reader Frogg1 points us to some major news out of the Dallas Morning News:

Authorities have been examining whether Fort Hood massacre suspect Nidal Malik Hasan wired money to Pakistan in recent months, an action that one senior lawmaker said would raise serious questions about Hasan’s possible connections to militant Islamic groups.

Rep. Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., said sources “outside of the [intelligence] community” learned about Hasan’s possible connections to the Asian country, which faces a massive Islamist insurgency and is widely believed to be Osama bin Laden’s hiding place.

Well, that would explain why he was nervous about going to Afghanistan – he might have faced an IED he bought with his own money. I am curious who this outside source is that is showing up our intelligence community. More on that is a bit. NPR also came out with some disturbing reporting yesterday that Hasan’s fellow psychiatrists at Walter Reed wondered at times if he was psychotic:

n documents reviewed by NPR and conversations with medical officials at Walter Reed and USUHS, new details have emerged regarding serious concerns that officials raised about Hasan during his time at both institutions.

Hasan had been a trouble spot on officials’ radar since he started training at Walter Reed, six years earlier. Several officials confirm that supervisors had repeatedly given him poor evaluations and warned him that he was doing substandard work.

Both fellow students and faculty were deeply troubled by Hasan’s behavior — which they variously called disconnected, aloof, paranoid, belligerent, and schizoid. The officials say he antagonized some students and faculty by espousing what they perceived to be extremist Islamic views. His supervisors at Walter Reed had even reprimanded him for telling at least one patient that “Islam can save your soul.”

So we have a man who was a known problem for 6 years at Walter Reed, Hospital, who was detected emailing a radical and violent Imam in Yeman with ties to al Qaedea, who was investigated by 2 terrorism tasks forces and he was living a life of squalor possibly to fund world wide Jihad. And he was a Major in the US Army.

All of this, we are told, was missed because the entire investigation came down to one military investigator’s report on Hasan’s emails, which concluded their was no clear evidence of attack or coordination (not that there was nothing to them but research). Sorry, I don’t buy it. I think much of this WAS known to the intelligence investigators, but the new administration shut this investigation down. Possibly along with many others (which I would not be surprised are opening back up again now). After detecting the Ft Dix attack plans I find it implausible anyone would do such a cursory investigation, missing so many obvious dots.

If I am right, there is a classified paper trail a mile wild proving it.

If I wanted to do harm to this country I would find people in the armed serviced that I could convert or infiltrate the armed services. Are we to naive to believe such a thing? Or do we actively look for such a possibility?

He was making 100,000? Good grief…what an idiot to realize he couldn’t make that much money under Shari’ah law.

Heh, I’d take that 300 bucks for rent per month!

    Change of topic…

Looks like there is a possibility that Hoffman MIGHT win with the absentee votes as the recount showed him to be closer to Owens by just over 3000 votes.
