Why Are Terrorists Allowed To Be Protected Under Our Constitution?

Published by at 12:26 pm under All General Discussions

The Obama administration has decided to prosecute 5 terrorists from 9/11 in New York federal court. A court that the tax payers have to pay for. A court where these terrorists are going to be treated like an American criminal. A court that is mere blocks from ground zero. Yet, some other terrorists are going to be tried by military tribunals. Why separate them? These are POWs and should be treated as such. If an American were to commit these acts in their countries the American would have been put death very quickly.

The other major problem with this decision is that evidence in a federal court is made public. Names of people involved, interrogation tactics, details of investigation tactics will all be made public. How can a President honestly think that it is okay for this information to be made public. It will hinder our intelligence community. In a military tribunal this information is not made public.

I have been impressed by the sheer outrage coming from Americans on this issue. I cannot believe that the Obama administration is willing to upset the Americans even more than he already has. We are not as stupid as he thinks we are. We will still be able to focus on healthcare, the economy, and this outrageous decision.

AJ, check this article. Reminds me of IOUSA movie where every single US President since Ike that said something about balancing the budget and bringing down the deficits.

Now Obama joins their ranks; giving the same message.

With this new job summit and his SOU, ya think that Obama can bring down the deficits?

    Nah, I don’t think so.

Obama is talking about applying some unspent money to pay down some of the deficits. 300BN????

I say it is 50/50 KSM gets off on a technicality as I believe information gathered under “torture” can be found to be inadmissable. This trial is not about KSM or any other Terrorist it will be about torture and how evil the prior administration was.

Spending binge???? Come on…you shoulda thought NOT to enact those bills, bailouts, stimulus, et al. You should have planned it in advance to NOT be forced in this situation.

    Plan the budget in advance!

Eric Holder stated in his press conference today that most CRIMINALS are tried in the city that their crimes are committed. Obama’s administration is so small time, they can’t begin to anticipate the trouble they are in. It is just astounding their incompetence.

It also seems that by bringing these terrorists to Federal Court, the Obama administration will beable to put the Bush Administration on trail for waterboarding. Issacof is asking the questions……I think Obama is more interested in getting Bush then the terrorists, throw a bone to his base. It could back fire big time. The emotion is so high around this decision anything can happen, and it will all be bad. Keep an eye on the ACLU lawyers who will be selected to defend these guys. They got notice a few days ago, that the Gitmo terrorists would be transferred to New York.

They deserve a huge backlash. And hopefully, they will retreat on this one.

But if they don’t, Bush and Cheney had better come out and fight on this one.

Can’t wait to see if Cheney will come out next week. 🙂

The position of the far left.

We must stand up for our ideals and show the world who we are, we tortured. This is not who we are.

I guess my self imposed Obama/politic free vacation is over. I was tired of being outraged…………tired of changing tv when i saw that face and leaving a room if I heard that the Horrid Voice. Finally listened to the Ft Hood Memorial to honor the fallen, but certainly did not feel comforted by the Robot. Just outraged by the damned PC chit they are using on us to get their way.

Did anyone else cry this morning while listening to Holder?

Did anyone else notice that the Smallest Thing on the Planet ran to another country to hide while his dirty work was being done? Has there ever been such a tiny, anti-American as him?

Look at the picture lucienne is running today. HE (the blame everyone else, hiding One, NOT HOLDER) intends to spend our MONEY to supply these Terrorists the SAME RIGHTS as the people who either JUMPED from those buildings or were Pulverized.

“This trial is not about KSM or any other Terrorist it will be about torture and how evil the prior administration was.”

You are so correct TomAnon. Those tiny little creeps running our country intend to put on the Trial of the Century and prosecute the Torturers. Notice Holder’s shoutout to his helpers, Graham and McCain.

I hold John McCain personally responsible from the first day of Abu Ghraib hearings. Do you feel better McCain? We paid. Bush (who beat you) will finally be brought to trial as the Torturer-In-Chief. These two men made every bit of this possible.

If he had fought the Tiny Man as Palin would have, we might have had a chance. No, he was offended that someone who introduced him used Obama’s FULL name that Obama freely uses today. PC, PC, PC. Suicide Pact. After today’s horror, I move John McCain into my Jimmy Carter file.

Tiny Man is hiding out in another country as his CRIME is being committed. I cry for the injustice. If I am brought to tears, how do the victim families feel.

This decision serves no purpose other than to appease people on the left who want to see the prior administration put on trial. There is no reason that the cases cannot be tried in GITMO under whatever law they decide is appropriate (military or civilian) and justice (i.e. executions) administered from there. Why not bring the lawyers and judges and stenographers and lawbooks down to GITMO???? Why risk increasing the number of people these terrorists have a chance of influencing and opportunities for their cohorts to pull something??? Do they not think that moving these guys stateside won’t be a signal to Al Quada to do something else—-like martyr these bastards in downtown Manhattan????

This decision shows how utterly stupid and dangerous this administration is and how foreign and corrupt influences have infiltrated the highest levels of politics and government. It is incomprehensible and reprehensible that anyone could justify this decision. If they are appeasing the ACLU, then hopefully this act of war on America by those socialists slugs gets answered. Eric Holder is a complete and utter jackass but then again the fish stinks from the head!!!

  10. ivehadit says:

So, how’s that November ’08 vote workin’ out for all y’all that voted for this marxist, America-despising, ACLU-lovin’ president?
You couldn’t see this comin’? We did. So I guess you better start listenin’ to us. We told you about this guy last year….

  11. Terrye says:

    owl:

I don’t blame McCain for this. McCain was one of the people who wrote the bill for the military commissions to try these people with terrorists like this in mind.

I hold Obama and Holder responsible for this stupidity.

Did you watch the Abu Ghraib hearings? ONE person in the USA had the power to stop almost all of it in it’s tracks. He was tortured. Check. If he had stood up and said the USA does not torture? Check. But no, I saw his face on tv over and over saying the opposite. I say McCain almost single handed labeled Bush a torturer and therefore his country. Obama is apologizing for us to the world. They (Mc and Graham) have a lot to answer for…………rather like the ones that disliked Mc so much they did not vote for him. I detest him but I voted for him because of the possible end result. Could he not see the end result or at least shut up?

  13. owl says:

Yes, Obama is responsible for this. It came from him, not Holder. Tiny Man is hiding so his hands are clean. His bosses must be pleased. Terrorists will have the same rights as you. You pay to watch them strut their stuff.

So: We are now going to have a trial that never had to happen for defendants who have no defense. And when defendants have no defense for their own actions, there is only one thing for their lawyers to do: put the government on trial in hopes of getting the jury (and the media) spun up over government errors, abuses and incompetence. That is what is going to happen in the trial of KSM et al. It will be a soapbox for al-Qaeda’s case against America. Since that will be their “defense,” the defendants will demand every bit of information they can get about interrogations, renditions, secret prisons, undercover operations targeting Muslims and mosques, etc., and — depending on what judge catches the case — they are likely to be given a lot of it. The administration will be able to claim that the judge, not the administration, is responsible for the exposure of our defense secrets. And the circus will be played out for all to see — in the middle of the war. It will provide endless fodder for the transnational Left to press its case that actions taken in America’s defense are violations of international law that must be addressed by foreign courts. And the intelligence bounty will make our enemies more efficient at killing us.

    AJ,

    See Andrew McCarthy Above.

The KSM trial is about the American Political Left’s re-gutting America’s intelligence — like the Church Committee did — via using the American Judicial Branch to make the Constitution a suicide pact.
