Far Right Is Also A Prime Culprit In The Current Liberal Federal Government

Published by at 12:18 pm under 2010 Elections,All General Discussions

Can we survive the liberal policies of Obama, Pelosi and Reid? We might just find out the hard way:

Poll: 51% of Republicans would rather risk losing elections than win with RINOs

Actually, the path forward is for the far right purists to be replaced in the GOP coalition by the centrists flooding away from the liberal Democrats. This would clobber both fringes at once. If we want to go for purity, it all depends on who gets purged – right? A purely centrist party would have two divided and impotent camps in opposition.

Bring it on.

AJ, once you use the term, you are responsible for how you use it and what it means to you.

The “Duh” is on you, sir.

    Rick

  2. Terrye says:

That poll also stated that 57% of Democrats would rather win. That explains how we go where we are.

I think that AJ sometimes is too hard on conservatives, but there is no denying that there are times when they are their own worse enemies.

Such as when Beck said we are better off with Obama than McCain, well..no we are not.

As far as RINO as a term. It seems to be in the eye of the beholder. One man’s RINO, is another man’s mainstream Republican.

I have heard Dick Lugar called a RINO and the man has been a Republican for decades. In other words, the term is subjective.

    Terrye,

I am only hard on ‘true’ pure conservatives. If someone objects it is because they have put themselves into that camp.

I am a conservative. Your Beck comment illustrates that some conservatives are pretty dumb in the purity. McCain would have been infinitely better than Obama.

The only reason Beck and others like to see liberals voted in over their pure brethren is because they want to see America punished for not listening to them.

    It is truly pathetic.

Anyway, I have lots of respect for conservatives (and all Americans) who can stay away from the fever swamps on the fringes.

    RINO
    ——-

    Origin
Celeste Greig, a long-time Los Angeles conservative Republican and leader of the California Republican Assembly, created the acronym RINO and designed buttons that bear the epithet. In 1994, she named former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan the “chairman” of the RINOs and former Congressman Michael Huffington the “vice chairman” of the RINOs. At this time, she bestowed each of them with the RINO button helping the term to become widely popular.[citation needed]

    General criteria
The term implies that, despite party affiliation, RINO politicians are not “authentic” Republicans. The label is usually acquired because a politician’s political actions, policies, positions on certain issues or voting records are considered to be at variance with core Republican beliefs or Republican partisanship.

When Pat Robertson ran for President his “religous Right” supporters turned out in droves and took over the Republican Party at the precinct level. They elected County party oficials and delegates to the state conventions. After Robertson lost, they disappeared into the woodwork, never to be heard from again. Our previous County Party Chariman called the previously elected county comittee members and asked them meet to replace the defunct elected county party officials, to keep the Republican Party viable in our area. Although I agreed with most of Robertson’s people’s stands on the issues, I was not ready to write the Republican Party off since it was, and is, the only viable opposition to the complete socialist chaos promoted by the Democratic Party. However, as the mother of three semi educated products of the public education system, all white males, who were denied training level jobs in the high paying tech fields “because of mandates that minorities be hired” you will have to excuse me if I take a hard line on what I will support and what I will not. . . Both parties now take unconstitutional stands on major issues to get votes from organized voting blocks. To me, a RINO is someone who will do anything, say anything, and support anything, regardless of it’s consequences, to get a vote. A case in point…And call me a Racist if you like, but this is the truth that nobody will admit…Integration of the public school has destroyed the moral fabric and education system of this country, because, instead of Blacks adapting to the white culture, white children adopted the black culture, and education standards were lowered to accommodate black students who either couldn’t ,or wouldn’t, do the work necessary to learn the basics. Now the vast majority of our children graduate from high school with an education equal to that which only black students in the old preintegration schools received. As a result, we now have uneducated whites picking up garbage and mowing lawns, uneducted and unqualified blacks and women sitting in offices and running businesses, while our best and brightest join the military because it is their only chance for advancement. Did anyone ever think this would happen when they insisted that Plissy vs Board of Education, which guaranteed Blacks their own separate schools, be overturned? For every action, there is a reaction, and Corruption cannot exist unless someone has control of the allocation of goods and services. Remember this when you decide to bend over and accept the worst of two evils. Every day, I thank God that we had Ronald Reagan even for a brief period. And I thank God for Sarah Palin. As for the rest…A pox on the lot of them.

I agree with you. I have said all along that the blacks complained that their children weren’t getting a good education so the govenment integrated the schools and no one was getting a good educatin because they kept the same teachers the blacks had .

I NEVER miss the Glenn Beck show, and I’ve never heard him say we are better off with Obama than McCain. I haven’t read any of his books and maybe he said it there. But he sure has never said it on his tv show.

Watched the Palin interview on Hannity. She described herself as a conservative primarily, She said her husband is not a Republican (an independent). Hannity said he’s not a registered Republican but is a registered Conservative.

He certainly blames both parties for the mess the country is in, but he definitely has no use for Obama and his bunch of communist and marxist radical associates.

  8. Redteam says:

that last paragraph reference was to Beck, not Hannity.
