In addition to the emails, if you look at the ADAM draft document, it describes what amounts to the using of climate science to manage the entire economy of Europe. This would put the climate “scientists” in a very powerful position. Their “research” would decide the fate of industry on an entire continent and possibly globally.

If there is no crisis, their “research” isn’t that important. And look how their research is being used and how it impacts us all:

California last ween enacted new regulations that limit large screen TVs. Any TV over a certain size is limited to how much power it can draw.

An alternative to this problem would be to build one nuclear power plant. That would produce more power than this regulation would save and it would generation zero greenhouse emissions. But in California we can not build a single power plant of any type and we can not use energy resources within our state borders. They prevent is from being able to generate additional power and then use that as an excuse to regulate the daylights out of our lives.

Now if they were to build a half-dozen nuclear plants in the state, there would be no reason for energy conservation at all in the home. Power would be dirt cheap. Industry could have all the electricity it needed at rock bottom rates.

They use climate and contrived energy crises to regulate our lives.

momdear1, it’s good that someone remembers ‘alar on apples’ other than me. That was, as you said, just a scam. But the agency that was formed to deal with it is still around, as any government agency formed for any reason, is still around. Nobody in government is going to ‘work themselves out of a job’.

Al Gore wasn’t flimflammed, he is the flimflammer. He has no noble intentions, only capitalist ones. Profit is the name of the game for Gore.

While I’m not surprised that the ‘global warming’ is a conspiracy, I never had any idea of the ‘organized level’ of the huge fraud. I never would have thought that a major university would actually, apparently, be the instigator of the whole thing. Apparently they just hired the wrong individuals as professors that led them down the path. We can only speculate, but clearly it is an industry all to itself.

It will be interesting to see if the MSM actually covers this story. I suspect it will be necessary to FORCE them into it, just as Drudge forced the coverage of slick Willie/Monica. Should this be viewed as the very, very big disgrace and criminal enterprise it has always been, Gore will be dragged kicking and screaming into the light of day. I would guess he will immediately claim “dupe” status, asking all to believe that he acted only with the very best of intentions for the salvation of humanity. But tragically, he was flim flammed, conned, suckered, fooled…a victim of his own noble intentions. And you can bet he will relate all of this with a straight face.

AJ, I agree 100% about criminal charges – but with Eric Holder running the show, it is MOST unlikely that it will happen. Not until a Republican Administration takes over (in which case I could make a good case not merely for fraud, but for Crimes Against Humanity – cheap energy being the sine qua non of an advanced civilization, including the growing third world)

The real trick, though, would be to press a CIVIL fraud suit. Not only is the standard of proof lower, but it does not depend on the whims of a corrupt Administration to bring the charges.

And putting Al Gore in the poor house would be a Good Thing.

I have been trying to tell people since 1990 that the whole Environmental Crisis was dreamed up by the same people who gave us the Alar in the Apples scare in the 1980′s, because, after their 1960-1970 revolution failed, they regrouped and decided that the Environment was the cause under which they could “Unite all Dissident groups and Empower them to overthrow the government.” The quotation is their exact words. I served on the Board of Directors of a National “Environmental” organization for five years which was affiliated with all other national dissident groups. When I took the info I had to the FBI I was told that the leaders of these groups “looked like a who’s who of militant radical activists left over from the Civil Rights and anti war movements of the 60′s. The leader of our organization, John O’Connor, married Carolyn Mugar, organizer and head of Farmaid, who said she had worked with Hillary Clinton in the Civil Rights movement , and “wanted to go on records as saying our organization was committed to working with the other dissident groups.” After the first anti gulf war demonstration, the whole first floor of John and Carolyn O’Connor’s 3 story house in Boston was stacked full of “No Blood for Oil” signs.
I resigned, or was kicked off the board after a kangroo trial for being a racist, when I questioned what they were planning to replace our governmental system with since Communism had just been proven a failure in the USSR. The answer was, “Communism failed in the USSR because they were not practicing it right. In it’s true form, it will work.” During the 1992 election, II wrote over 1000 letters reporting what I had learned to every agency, columnist, newspaper, magazine and public official that I could think of who might be interested. Only William F. Buckley and the editor of the Naples Daily News (Naples Fla) bothered to check out the info I had given them. Both confirmed Hillary Clinton’s connection to these anti American groups. Hillary served as Prsident and on the Board of Directors of the New World Foundation from 1985 until Bill got the presidental nomination in 1992. The New World Foundation provided organizational grants to most of the national dissident organizations. I was later told, but unable to verify, that Ted Turner’s money funded the New World Foundation. The only reason the Clintons failed to do what Obama is doing now is because the people voted in a Republican Congress in 1994 that blocked the advancement of their agenda. What these people have done is prove that Adolph Hitler’s “Big Lie” theory works, because the average everyday person out there is dumb, dumb, dumb and will beleive anything.

Repeat after me “Nutball regimes become more so under pressure.”

None of this means beans to the AGW true believers in the Obama Administration, the EPA, other Federal bureaucracies, the environmental movement and the Democratic Party.

They are going to go even more full bore for cap & trade via making CO2 a “pollutant” under Federal and state environmental laws, rules and regulations.

Not even a Republican majority elected federal government will stop this push.

Nothing short of removing the Endangered Species Act from Federal law — with a general Federal preemption of state level endangered species laws on the grounds of a Federal civil right to private property — will stop these folks from using environmental law, rules and regulations at any level of government to destroy the American Economy.

AGW is about the Left’s religious beliefs and power grabs, not the environment.
