Iran Wants Military Confrontation

Published by at 11:14 am under All General Discussions,Iran

How else are we supposed to interpret the response from Iran regarding the West’s actions to take Iran to the impotent UN Security Council than to conclude what Iran wants is military confontation – and they want the West to strike first:

Iran warned Friday it would no longer consider a proposal to move its uranium enrichment program to Russia if it is referred to the U.N. Security Council for allegedly violating a nuclear arms control treaty.

If Iran’s nuclear file goes to the Security Council, “there will be no way we can continue with the Russian proposal,” said Javad Vaeidi, deputy head of the powerful National Security Council and a top nuclear negotiator.

He was referring to attempts to persuade Iran to move its uranium enrichment program to Russia to prevent its misuse for nuclear arms. The 35-nation board of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the world body’s nuclear watchdog, is considering whether to refer Iran to the Security Council over the disputed program.

The Russian proposal is the only safe haven Iran has. When they cannot delay action, they seem to call for things to escalate. I am not sure how much longer we should play games with these people. Saddam was given months to hide his WMDs because of the suicidially slow pace of the international community.

We should be doing this on our terms, not Irans.

Tell me again how many years you served our country in the military? Like many right wingers you are always ready to “send in the troops.” The question these days, in case you haven’t noticed, is ‘What Troops?’ Fewer and fewer young men and women are willing to die for an illegal war, much less, start another one. It’s just amazing to me how you guys ignore facts. Of course, recent Psychological testing methods have shown that all fanatics are quite good at spotting lying, deception, and BS when the “other side” does it but are incapable of applying the same deductive powers to their own side. Often coming up with incredibly wild theories to “explain” how their side didn’t lie. BTW, did you notice how quick the Pres was to tell all Americans how we need to get off oil dependence, and how quietly the next day it was “explanined” by the White House that he didn’t really mean it? He was speaking rhetorically.

Observer, it might help if you read slower so you don’t get confused so quickly. The post says Iran wants a confrontation – not me. My point was if Iran is heading towards a military confrontation with us we need to make sure we do things on our terms.

I have no desire to fight Iran. I have no desire to fight anyone. But if they threaten my family I am left little choice.

    Observer,
I do not have to ask you how many years you served your country in the military or otherwise because you obviously do not love your country! From your message it is also obvious that you have not experienced living under a totalitarian system otherwise your outlook would not be so “proper”( self-righteous). If you have today the good fortune to be able to spout freely the left-wing drivel you do, it is only because “the troops went in” when it was needed.
May Allah send its “peaceful representatives” to visit you and your family when you least expect it !

    Observer,

The folks who frequent this site do not suffer fools very well. Most will not even respond to you. When you get out of grammer school you will still have another dozen years or so of learning left to enter these discussions and have anyone pay you any attention. Bye bye!
