US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales gave one of the best reasons why liberal democrats are playing a very dangerous game with GITMO and the terrorists detained there. When did the democrat party become so desparate to win elections (at any cost it seems) they would suggest closing GITMO and possibly free these known terrorists. Isn’t hard enough to deal with the unknown ones out there now?

Gonzales said he thought about a dozen people released from Guantanamo had later been killed or captured “on the battlefield” fighting against the United States.

“We can’t release them and have them go back to fight against America,” he told reporters after talks with the European Union.
