Half Assed Administration

Remember the stimulus bill that was supposed to save the economy? Remember how it failed miserably (since around 90% of its ‘shovel ready’ money was not even spent by January 2010). We have yet to see how bad the health care system has been screwed up by liberal fantasies, but we now know very few if any of us will be able to keep our current coverage. People keeping asking if all these failed promises were foolish lies (liberal naiveté) or evil lies (liberal oppression). I for one don’t care – either way the country is being destroyed.

But it took the massively destructive actions of a blown oil well ( caused in part by government incompetence) to demonstrate just how especially incompetent liberal government can be. It seems the neo-liberal, as personified by Obama, Pelosi & Reid, means one who struts around pretending you’re in charge and doing something while making money for you and your friends. They are saving the world and humanity – so of course they deserve a slice of the grand life!

Of course, the objective reality is all this pathetic self aggrandizing is ego-candy for the arrogant pols. They do live the grand life, but they are doing just the opposite from ‘saving the world and humanity’.

These people are just downright incompetent, mindlessly following bogus magical formulas dictated by lazy bureaucrats that falsely were claimed to be of value. We saw this when the EPA rules clashed with the reality of a massive oil spill. Don’t contain, don’t use dispersing chemicals, don’t burn off – all these could hurt the environment.

Instead these bureaucratic clowns allowed the oil to expand and travel in its most toxic form. What would have been a cloud of smoke and an isolated area of high chemical concentrations (both of which would have dispersed into the air and seas and become safe) turned into a regional nightmare. Contained and burned off an oil well could cannot come close to producing the pollutants and toxins of even an average sized volcano. Not even close! But some yahoo without basic math skills to understand the relative magnitude of these kinds of events decided to let the oily destruction spread.

Evil plan or dumb ass mistake? Again – who cares. Fire the lot of them and put the regional experts in charge.

The latest of these incidents was when the coast guard decided life vest inspections trumped saving the region of life and future prosperity:

Eight days ago, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ordered barges to begin vacuuming crude oil out of his state’s oil-soaked waters. Today, against the governor’s wishes, those barges sat idle, even as more oil flowed toward the Louisiana shore.

Sixteen barges sat stationary today, although they were sucking up thousands of gallons of BP’s oil as recently as Tuesday. Workers in hazmat suits and gas masks pumped the oil out of the Louisiana waters and into steel tanks. It was a homegrown idea that seemed to be effective at collecting the thick gunk.

But the Coast Guard ordered the stoppage because of reasons that Jindal found frustrating. The Coast Guard needed to confirm that there were fire extinguishers and life vests on board, and then it had trouble contacting the people who built the barges.

This is insane. It is the responsibility of the boat owners to have the proper gear. And a few spot inspections could have done the job. Even better, having spare vests and extinguishers to pass out would have been a service to the cause and safety. It is one of those dumb bureaucratic tricks that makes you wonder how they can survive the forces of evolution.

Then we got this half assed news today:

President Barack Obama’s point man charting a new future for the oil-poisoned Gulf Coast will do the job part-time. Some environmentalists said the job demands someone’s full attention.

Great, out of millions of government seat warmers we could only find a guy who could scrap up half his time to clean up the mess. And the Obamabots wonder why this President is getting a reputation for just not getting it? Look, he is not aloof on the surface, this guy is pretty much detached from reality down to his core. His mind works on a total different plane of unreality. It is amazing he got where he did with that amount of fictional haze blinding him.

This is not time for half baked or half assed measures. But it seems all we have in charge at the moment is the crew of the B-Ark.

He won’t control the border until he gets comprehensive reform (amnesty) a policy started under W.

He won’t stop the leak or do his utmost at clenup until he gets cap and tax.

This thug and the liberal left is holding the country hostage to their delusional visions of an America driven by windmills and solar power and delights in the fact that we are paying for our arrogance, greed, over use of our resources.

dunter, I heard the story about the border, if it is also true about cleaning up the spill in the Gulf, no full steam ahead until Cap and Trade is passed, I wonder how the American people will feel about being black-mailed? I feel the steam already rising, I must say if I could help it, I WOULD NEVER LET ANOTHER PERSON PUT ME IN THIS POSITION. My answer would be go **** yourself.

On June 18, 2010, Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl told the audience at a North Tempe Tea Party town hall meeting that during a private, one-on-one meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office, the President told him, regarding securing the southern border with Mexico, “The problem is, . . . if we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’” [Audible gasps were heard throughout the audience.] Sen. Kyl continued, “In other words, they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’”
