What Dems want, and what they will get is about to come to a serious head.

They are about to step in da sheeeeeet bigtime with their proposed legislation INRE port owners by "government owned or controlled" companies, AJ.

When they do so, how will they propose handling the US leases with Neptune Orient Lines, which is also government controlled (68% of shares) by Singapore. I'd say 68% of shares qualifies for government "controlled" status.

And, for the record, PSA Int'l (the only DP World bidding competitor) is 100% owned by Temasek Holdings which is... (and I quote from website data for investors) ... " the investment arm of the Singapore gov't".

When you start investigating who owns what in port ops, exactly where does the racial profiling begin and end?

The Dem-led (and wuss Rep followed) legislation that will, in effect, nullify existing port contracts merely to give credibility to their recent hysteria could pull the plug on their efforts to posit themselves as a party dedicated to national security... not to mention, they won't be making any friends in the int'l business world either.

Problem is, the Congressional types dash in with emotions and no industry facts prior to writing up bills. Their ensuing legislative "cures" create bigger problems. But then, this could be said of Congress generally, no?

Have links for you to check the NOL and PSA ownership facts on my Sea2Sea blogsite. Would love for you to backcheck, and spread the truth of it all. The impending legislation is absurd, and a monstrous business mistake.

Who is Comarade Boggiano I asked myself? I decided not to send an SOS to Debbie Schlussel who has her FBI contacts, (this after all is a federal offence) as Rick Moran had the answer at the ready, pulling this from Boggiano's website:...
