Give One To The Minute Man
** Update: Tom Maguire finally has a chance to post his thoughts on this matter:
We eagerly await a bootleg copy of the [Vanity Fair] article.
Yes we do!
end update
Tom Maguire, all things Plame, seems to have struck gold with his prediction that the true leak source for Valerie Plame’s identity was Richard Armitage (from Drudge).
WASH POST’s Ben Bradlee Claims Plame Leaker Was Richard Armitage
Mon Mar 13 2006 10:48:34 ETTHE WASHINGTON POST’s famous Watergate editor Ben Bradlee claims that it was former State Department Deputy Secretary Richard Armitage who was the individual who leaked the identity of CIA official Valerie Plame.
Many of my readers were on the Rand Beers bandwagon (as was I and I still think he played a major role in the whole affair). But Armitage does make sense. Loud mouth Joe Wilson worked for the State Department (obviously) and so many there would know his wife Valerie. Especially those who served with her in Athens. Like I predicted, the knowledge of Valerie’s employment was never a big secret in certain (large) circles in the DC area.
Well, now we see how duplicitous and unprofessional a prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald really is. The person responsible for the leak was used to frame someone who the prosecutor stipulates lied to reporters regarding the details of the leak so as to not leak himself. Fitzgerald needs to be reprimanded and he needs to step down. Now.
Update: And check out Clarice Feldman’s summary of this weekend’s events which have truly torpedoed those still riding the Wilson-Plame Ship of Fools.
Update: Mac Ranger echoes Clarice in reminding us the Plame Game may have been the first move in a bigger chess game.

Bradlee Claims Armitage is Woodward’s Source…
It’s not quite Deep Throat, but it’s something (and kudos to the MinuteMan, who’s been playing this angle for a while now). Ben Bradlee insinuates, in the new Vanity Fair, that Bob Woodward learned Valerie Plame’s identity fro…
Plame Game – Missing the Point…
First, I’m over this – there was NO leak. Valerie Plame/Wilson was NOT covert – thus no leak of a covert identity could take place. How much clearer does this have to be? Fitzgerald found nothing to convict on the orignal charge. Libby’s in trouble f…
Trib story on how Plame was not a real “NOC” and Bradlee’s suggestion both come at times when the LSM realizes the danger they are in if the trial goes forward.
It is to their benefit if LSM, VIPS and Wilsons are never called to testify.
The American public holds those that “got off on a technicality” in suspicion and this falls right in with the “CLUTURE OF CORRUPTION”
meme of the LEFT for the 2006 midterms.
It leaves the stain on GW and the Admin and all the perps walk scott free.
Leaves the LSM more time to work on the “censure of GW” for trying to protect us. And God forbid that they get the House in 2006 elections – then they have plenty of time for the IMPEACHMENTS.
IMHO, WE WANT THIS TO COME TO TRIAL.
How Covert was Valerie Plame?…
Beats me. But in light of Saturday's Chicago Tribune story (one of several, incidentally), Tom Maguire has some ideas. Meanwhile, according to the WaPo's famed Watergate editor Ben Bradlee, the Plame "leaker" (are we sure Google was…
