More Activity In Pro-Taliban Region Of Pakistan

Published by at 4:47 pm under All General Discussions

Readers of this blog know I am keeping one eye on Pakistan’s northern regions on the Afghanistan border since there has been constant military action there with 80,000 troops in the region, as well as US and Afghan forces apparently monitoring the other side of the border in an effort to box in Taliban and Al Qaeda members. Fighting eruped again today in the region:

Islamabad, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) Pakistani security forces and alleged Taliban rebels engaged Friday in violent armed clashes in the southern tribal district of Waziristan, bordering Afghanistan, local media reported.

All my posts on activities in this region can be found.

Off topic, but there are some interesting twists in the Lodi trial today.
They are going to introduce some important new evidence. Seems like they found a bunch of documents. Some need to be declassified.

    Google Lodi and news.

Here is an article that analyses the new Iraqi documents.

Iraq was using Al Qaeda as a front, basically.

I have got some quotes and a collection of links about these documents at my little blog:

The post is a work in progress.
