Saddam Financed Terrorists Who Attacked Americans

Published by at 11:00 am under All General Discussions,Bin Laden/GWOT

Looks like the liberal left in this country will have to do the three-monkey ‘hear, see and speak no evil’ to keep avoiding the evidence of secularist Saddam’s ties to, and sponsorship of, terrorism:

An eight-page fax dated June 6, 2001, and sent from the Iraqi ambassador in Manila to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baghdad, provides an update on Abu Sayyaf kidnappings and indicates that the Iraqi regime was providing the group with money to purchase weapons. The Iraqi regime suspended its support–temporarily, it seems–after high-profile kidnappings, including of Americans, focused international attention on the terrorist group.

The left still wants America to believe Saddam was some poor, harmless, misunderstood leader. They keep trying to convince us his rape rooms, child torture facilities, mass graves and use of WMD on his own people and neighbors – let alone his harboring and supporting terrorists – where not any indication that he could be major, covert force in any future 9-11’s.

Well, that is what they want us to believe.  Because if they were forced to face facts, then they would have been seriously wrong about Bush all these years.  And that is something liberals cannot let happen,  not matter what the cost.  Including the cost of their credibility.

I have a lot of links and quotes about the documents organized on my blog

I hope you don’t mind that I post it again, but I want it to be on a related thread.

Thanks for writing about the documents.

Our military is defending Americans too, not the ACLU who are persecuting Americans.

These documents are going to show what a maniac Saddam was and how he was aiding all kinds of terrorists from communists to Al Qaeda.

An Iraqi Iraqi intelligence document states:

“America has evidence that the Iraqi government and the group of Osama bin Laden have cooperated to attack targets inside America.”

The Foreign Affairs article based on the documents also observes:

“The Saddam Fedayeen also took part in the regime’s domestic terrorism operations and planned for attacks throughout Europe and the Middle East. In a document dated May 1999, Saddam’s older son, Uday, ordered preparations for “special operations, assassinations, and bombings, for the centers and traitor symbols in London, Iran and the self-ruled areas [Kurdistan].” Preparations for “Blessed July,” a regime-directed wave of “martyrdom” operations against targets in the West, were well under way at the time of the coalition invasion.”
