Dumb Durbin
Senator Durbin tried to play the impeachment canard on Fox News this morning, straddling the topic by saying he needs to learn more on the NSA subject, but won’t rule impeachment out. Previously Democrat senators were trying to shy away from a censure movement by Russ Feingold.
Seems the Democrats have decided to try and appease their radical left-wing base. As I predicted, the liberal base is going to make impeachment the litmus test for all Democrat candidates.
It really lit a fire on with the panel. My view is the Democrat’s are going to rue the day they decided to make 2006 the year for payback impeachment (which Juan Williams did mention in defending the idea the NSA tapping is illegal). What will be really fun is when it turns out the NSA wasn’t doing anything different since 1980, it was FISC judges who refused to consider NSA leads on terrorists simply because they came from the NSA – which is a really stupid argument to use to put American lives at risk.
So it is impeachment vs monitoring terrorists in the US. This will be a historic year for the two major parties. Seems the Democrats are going for broke, because if they lose this one they will have destroyed themselves for many years to come.
I think these politicians will be aiding and abetting the terrorists and their lawyers if they do that because they will expose a lot of secret information. I bet these politicians are getting money from the ACLU. That is what the ACLU is doing: trying to get secret information to see what the government knows about terrorists in America.
Somehow the ACLU never investigates American terrorists who are violating people’s rights, destroying their property, and killing them.
They consider our elected government the terrorists.
We have terrorists in America who are cheering on the terrorists in Iraq even though they don’t share their ideology. They are making a united front with any movement that can destroy America.
See for example this pro-terrorist blog that supports the revolutionary Ward Churchill http://www.tryworks.blogspot.com
Is Sen. Reid worried about Sen. Durbin and Sen. Rockefeller?
On the Senate side, Sen. Harry Reid and his chairman of the DSCC, Sen. Chuck Schumer, continue to press the anti-war rhetoric as key to their success. On Thursday afternoon, Reid took heat from some members for his soft response to Republicans who called Democrat bluffs on a censure vote against President Bush for the NSA overseas terrorist monitoring program.
According to sources with knowledge of the closed-door meeting, Reid pushed back on his colleagues, telling them that it wasn’t a good idea to vote to censure anyone with ties to the NSA program, particularly since there was a criminal investigation underway to determine who had leaked the NSA program’s specifics, and that investigation could enmesh one or more of their own.
