Religous Freedom Returns To Afghanistan

Published by at 10:40 am under All General Discussions

Well, religious freedom somewhat returns to Afghanistan. But the news out this morning is the man being prosecuted for becoming a Christian will be freed. It will be on lack of evidence – which is why this remains a problem. But I think it is safe to say pressure from the Western nations, not to mention calls to drop Afghanistan support if this action was carried out, woke up enough people to make a course correction. What this incident indicates is we have a lot of work to do to really bring this society into the 21st Century. More so than in Iraq which boasts a modern, educated middle class.  People should not use this incident to give up on the region.
