Want to do something dumb to screw up the immigration debate? Be rude to your guests when asking them to stay on uninvited and see what happens:
The coalition of grass-roots organizations that staged huge rallies on behalf of illegal immigrants in recent weeks is torn over an ambitious next step, a massive job and economic boycott that some are calling “A Day Without Immigrants.”
Not smart.
No, they need to be keeping a low profile. But then again, how much do they really have to do with most immigrants? I mean really, these guys might be overestimating their influence. If these workers are not brave enough to demand minimum wage, I really don’t see most of them staging walk outs. .
