An Islamic nation of Arabs called Egypt.

CAIRO (Reuters) – A witness said he heard three explosions and saw smoke in the tourist bazaar area of the Egyptian Sinai resort town of Dahab on Monday, part of a five-day spring holiday in Egypt.

“There is smoke coming from that area and there are people running everywhere,” said the witness, who did not want to be named.

The explosions were heard about 7.15 pm local time (6:15 p.m. British Time), the witness added.

I asked yesterday if Bin Laden would ride to save Bush again. If these attacks are what they appear to be, then I would have to say yes, he is coming to aid Bush in is now classical, bungling style. More as it comes out – watch this space!

Update: That didn’t take long. From an Isreali news outlet:

Egyptian police have said there were casualties in the blasts.

Police officials said more than 20 ambulances and police cars were rushing to the el-Masbat section of the city.

Dahab is located on on the Gulf of Aqaba on the eastern side of the Sinai Peninsula.

The Times UK is confirming 30 deaths already:

Police confirmed the blasts and said that there were casualties. At least 30 people were killed in a series of attacks on resorts near to the Israeli border in October 2004.

Safe to say this number will rise throughout the day.

Update:  As feared the casualty toll is now around 100:
