It has been a long time for an entry in The Duh! Files, but terrorist Zarqawi earned his place of honor with this one:

Well,.. umm,… Duh! We admit it! We helped set up a democratic government in Iraq so we would not have to deal with a WMD armed, terrorist supporting, insanely mad despot named Saddam Hussein. We did not want Iraq to be a source of money and technology for you islamo-fascists. You got us.
