OK, I lost a whole day’s worth of posts and comments thanks to some obvious ineptitude by Hosting Matters. When they tried to do some maintenance on a server they lost the disks and the motherboard. Their ineptitude came in by not backing up right before they attempted the maintenance. The latest back up was 6 AM which means a days worth of posts and comments are gone.

They further compounded this mistake by not warning people they would be doing this maintenance through email (vs posting a notice on their website which know one visits often) so we could do our own back up. I only recall the post on the Libby trial hearing (which I will try to recreate in short form since I was going to add to it). I believe there was a post on the NSA stuff again as well. Those will be lost to the ether I am afraid

Addendum: yes, we lost email as well.  Posts, comments and emails all gone from yesterday from 6 AM until around 8:00 PM
