UGO- Armitage On Libby Defense Witness List

Published by at 12:19 pm under All General Discussions,Plame Game

Oh boy! Richard Armitage – the person suspected to be the initial leaker of Plame’s name, CIA position and role in Joe Wilson’s trip – is listed numero uno on Team Libby’s list of witnesses in their latest court filing!

So far, the defense has identified by name the following current and former government officials as potential defense witnesses: (1) Richard Armitage; (2) Colin Powell; (3) Stephen Hadley; (4) Bill Harlow; (5) Karl Rove; (6) Joseph Wilson; and (7) Valerie Wilson.

Well, well.  This will be an interesting trial to watch.  More later (gotta say ‘hi’ to Mom!)

    Truth dawns.

It also dawns on the American People; that the CONSPIRACY, which comes from the CIA and French Intelligence had been cooking up this brew for quite some time.

As to “his wife?” WHere does that point to “Libby LIED?” Libby’s got clearance to talk INTERNALLY to the President and the Vice President; without having to signal anyone else in government, or in the media, about ANYTHING. He can say to the MEDIA, for instance, that the White House didn’t KNOW about the “wife angle” because it wasn’t how the information was flowing into them at all.

If Fitzgerald wants to hang this White House on the fact that somehow those being attacked by the CONSPIRACY figured out that it was a “family” operation, well what does that mean?

You start with the CONSPIRACY to destroy this President. You also have to come up with the MONEY. Just like the theory about “who shot JFK” … where you run into problems blaming the government, is that you can’t trace where money would have come from. Unless you say “mafia.”

What do you say now? Chirac’s pockets? The french? Despicable people, these spooks are!

And, Fitzgerald’s problem is that there is a real crime involved when outsiders try to kill our president; or destroy his reputation for politcal reasons.

And, all we have is SILENCE. Instead of hearing the hue and cry; all you get are funny symtoms.

I remember when Mort Sahl tried to talk about JFK’s murder. Only to then hear the IRS had gone to the Hungry I, a San Francisco nightclub, where Sahl was employed. And, they were told they’d be audited if they hired him. So, that’s how the “silence” worked. (Where was the money to do all of this stuff?)

And, what’s with the Supreme Court? How come judges are so loath to write opinions in APPEAL decisions that excoriates the incompetent judges?

Too bad for the press that they took such pleasure in touting “THE WALL OF SILENCE” line when they talked about cops. This “SILENCE” seems to run deep into the fabric of those who are our nation’s guardians.

And, a case like this, with so many obvious signs that there are lawyers, using internal CIA connections, as well as our media … doing what DAN RATHER did. Making FAKE BUT ACCURATE claims.

You don’t think a lot of people can catch on? Yes. Lincoln was murdered. But we did better then. 8 men stood convicted. Even though John Wilkes Booth, injured, and trapped was KILLED; there was an ability to put the crime picture together. Some men were hanged. And, “your name is MUDD” still sticks on that family. That keeps trying to clean up the mess they got into.

When Oswald was killed, it seems the links to the government’s involvement should have gotten stronger. But didn’t.

And, now we have this case. A doozy. With lots of flapping in the wind. Barn doors have been blown off their hinges.

And, exposed for all to see is the slow-mo process … Whereby Theodore Wells will come out of this like PERRY MASON.

Beware when American idols get disturbed. The chinese director tried it with Backdoor Mounting. The foreign press praised him to no end. But in hollywood, where plenty of the left resides, the Oscar stayed out of reach.

How come Perry Mason’s stories were once dime store fiction? And, now we see that Americans CAN understand idiot prosecutors. Just as we all understand who the good guy was when it was SHERLOCK HOLMES. Against dumb flat foots.

Not such dumb stuff now, though. Just sad.

You’re starting to foam at the mouth, Herman. Dial it back, please.

Wasn’t Bill Harlow the guy at the CIA who Novak spoke to?

I can’t wait to have Wilson on the stand and have the defense ask, “Prior to Novak publishing your wife’s name in his article, had you ever divulged her occupation at the CIA to anyone not cleared to have that information?”

This trial is going to be a circus, and I will enjoy every second of it.

    Sexion,
When does it start? I can’t wait, either!!
With the all-star cast the defense is putting together, they can’t afford to ignore it, either!!
Carol- All I can say about your post is- Happy Mothers’ Day!

And, yes, folks. There IS a conspiracy. And, these cost money. Nobody’s ever really figured out how they get done. And, I guess the box that Fitzgerald is using is one where he’s manipulating the law. So that the president, when he tried to show his enemies in government were setting him up for a witch hunt COULDN’T PROVIDE THE EVIDENCE. Because it was sealed up in CIA “secrets.”

The Libby case, as designed by Fitzgerald is fraudulent.

And, what are Americans learning? That judges don’t toss cases that have no merit.

And, Libby’s not alone. Martha Stewart had to make a decision to let years and years go by. And, she would have had to spend millions. While her name got smeared, anyway. So she threw in the towel and went to jail.

So did the reporter, Judith Miller. As if we’re preparing our jail system to work just like the eygptians. ANd, they can put anyone they want to in jail. How did that pass muster?

Well to read some of the opinions that show up, Judge Tatel took Fitzgerald at his word. And, his word’s not worth a plug nickel.

When will lawyers figure out this stuff just ruins their reputations. Even if it makes for really good lawyers’ jokes. Yesterday, I saw a good one:

An 82 year old lawyer dies. And, goes to heaven. Where St. Peter makes a really big fuss over him. He’s surprised enough to ask why. And, he’s told he’s the “oldest lawyer that ever arrived in heaven.” So he says, “but I was only 82.” And St. Peter says that his birth records were lost. So they just added up all his billable hours.

It’s not that the Internet doesn’t provide people to access to some of the debates that show up on these filings.

Before the curtain comes down on this stuff, though, I’d like to know how the profession sunk so low? Weren’t judges supposed to be gate keepers for the truth? Weren’t they supposed to slap out-of-control persecutors? Why do we want cases that make the Dreyfus case in frawnce pale by comparison?

And, why is Judge Walton hoping Theodore Wells accepts an illiterate jury, because unlike working Americans they have time to sit through all the BS?

How come grand juries, free of judges, can have prosecutors who keep pestering a witness with their questions until a phony moment arrives and the idiot can charge “perjury?”

We’ve seen so much that there’s nothing left in the way of punishment that will ever fix this lopsided “justice.” The idea that Bush will eventually have to pardon Libby is a SICKNESS ON OUR SYSTEM! I know OJ laughs. But Fitzgerald is also being given a free ticket.

    And, I don’t know why.

Defense calls Richard Armitage to the stand.

Defense: Mr. Armitage, are you the source for Novak’s article?
    Armitage: Yes.
Defense: No further questions your honor.

    Zing!
