Birther Nonsense Poisons 2012 Election

Boy, if you want to help President Obama win reelection, one of the best ways to do so is to park your brain and go full Birther – ignoring all other critical issues facing this country.

The state of Hawaii has responded to Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett’s request for proof that President Barack Obama was in fact born in the Aloha State.

The Hawaii attorney general’s office has reportedly told Bennett that there are steps he needs to take in order to confirm President Obama’s birth records.

Those steps include Bennett proving that he legitimately needs confirmation in order to update the records at his office.

This is so stupid, and it reflects stupidity on those trying to unseat this inexperienced liberal politician before he can do more harm to our economy and country. How does this affect the economy, jobs, the rising national debt, the crumbling family, our military, our health care, our education system,….? How?

Let me be clear here – President Obama is a US Citizen by birth. Why?

Because his mother was a US Citizen. No other aspect of the definition of citizenship comes into play because where you are born has no bearing over who your parents are. None.

There is no question of soil or location or statehood. A child born at sea, in Europe, Asia or Africa to a US citizen is a US Citizen. A child born in space or on the moon to a US Citizen is a US Citizen.

All those who explore beyond this fact are just being foolish. And since it was Obama’s mother who was the US Citizen (not the father where paternity issues could arise), there is no doubt about his lineage.

If you want to make Obama look good by allowing him to compare himself to confused and distracted fools – go right ahead. But don’t blame anyone else if Obama wins election because no one b0ught into the Bogus Birther Brouhaha.

Update: As predicted, the Birther die-hards are having trouble adjusting to reality. Here is a very interesting story about in vitro children born overseas:

She found that the U.S. State Department did not share in her joy when she went to the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv to apply for citizenship for her children.

An embassy staffer wanted to know whether Lavi got pregnant at a fertility clinic. She said yes and was told that her children were not eligible for citizenship unless she could prove that the egg or sperm used to create the embryo was from an American citizen.

“I was humiliated and horrified,” Lavi said. “We’re talking about the children I gave birth to. Of course they’re my children.”

The incident points out what critics say is a glaring inequity in U.S. citizenship regulations. A child adopted overseas by a U.S. citizen is eligible to become an American, and a baby born in the USA is American even if the parents are not.

But a child born to a U.S. citizen overseas through the increasingly common practice of in vitro fertilization with embryos from donor eggs and sperm is not American, unless an American is one of the donors.

Let me recap for the stubborn ones: If Obama was ADOPTED by his mother from Kenya he would be a US Citizen. So OF COURSE if she gave birth to him he would be as well. I mean – really??

    RT,

“There have been no cases, at the US Supreme court decided on the merits of what you call “birthers” only on standing.

Just curious, why would you make such a statement?”

    Because it is the truth.

Eighteen cases have applied for cert at the Supreme Court level. All eighteen have been denied, which leaves the lower court rulings in effect.

Denying cert is a Supreme Court decision.

And for the record, the term “birthers” is not used by me in a derogatory manner. It is a term that in discussions with people who believe in the “Obama is not eligible to be president,” “birther” is a term they use and do not have issues with.

PHOENIX–Secretary of State Ken Bennett said Tuesday evening that he has received an e-mail from officials in Hawaii, which he believes contains the information he sought to verify President Barack Obama’s birth certificate. “By requesting the verification I can now report to thousands of constituents that we did what can be done and he is qualified to be on the ballot,” Bennett said. Something is really wrong here. Bennett says he got the verification he needed in an email, move along, and yet he hasn’t even looked at the email yet???? Since when is an email a form of an official document anyway?

Oh, sorry, I wasn’t clear. I meant show an actual certified copy of HIS birth certificate.

“you are well aware that what was released by the white house is clearly a forgery. If you don’t believe it is, it’s just because you haven’t spent 5 minutes looking at it.”

You’re right. I haven’t spent five minutes looking at it. I have literally spent hours upon hours upon hours looking at it. I have spoken with one of the so called “experts” from WND on the issue who could not understand the most basic points he was trying to make. (Not the points I was making – the ones HE was making.)

I even took the time to watch the so called “Arpaio Cold Posse” presentation which left me and other Adobe Certified people laughing in the streets.

Sorry RT, you are going to have to bring more than “you haven’t spent 5 minutes looking at it” because I would bet I have spent more time with it than most of the people that think it is fake. If that includes you, so be it.

  11. Redteam says:

louctiel. then you’re not going to change your mind and I’m not going to change mine. I’m not trying to change your mind anyhow. So, since this is a certified copy, just spend a few seconds telling the world how it came to be ‘constructed in layers’… Once you’re able to convince everyone, then take a copy of your certified birth certificate and scan it one time and then ‘deconstruct it in layers’ as you can Obama’s. then send me a copy of that ‘deconstructed in layers’ of your birth certificate (you may redact pertinent information, of course). Once you can ‘successfully do that’ then I’ll have The Sheriff of Maricopa Country bring a true fraudulent document maker (yourself) out to show them how Obama’s henchmen were able to do what they did.
Of course, if you really did look at that certificate for 5 minutes, you wouldn’t be trying to convince anyone that it is not fraudulent. Actually, just a instantaneous glance is really long enough.

and if” Adobe Certified people laughing” is true, then they should shred their certificates, because they would be the victims of fraudulent certification papers.
And one last question, since Obama thinks he was born in Kenya, why do you suppose his birth certificate says something else. After all, he was there when he was born, so he should know.

  12. Louctiel says:

So, since this is a certified copy, just spend a few seconds telling the world how it came to be ‘constructed in layers’…

It wasn’t. Obama released the birth certificate in 2 digital formats – a pdf and a jpg. They also released the same thing to reporters printed on a sheet from a copier. The substance – the way all three formats are made – would preclude the “layer” idea you are trying to sell. For example, complied pdf’s do not have “layers.” JPEG’s do not have “layers.” A printed copy is not relevant to this discussion as it is obviously without layers on a printed sheet. Yet when the jpg and the pdf are put into Photoshop, they react the same way – one layer. The issue is when they are imported into Illustrator. It is then that both file formats (that do not have layers in their construction) show a series of “layers.”

    The question is “why?”

The answer is in the way Illustrator examines files. Photoshop is a raster based graphic program. It looks at the pixels of the image.

Illustrator is a vector based graphic program. It does not look for pixels, but rather repeated patterns that can be created via a mathematical formula. (That is what “vector graphics” are – images displayed by various equations. And yes, that is a simplification, but the idea is sound and accurate.)

So when both formats – the pdf and the jpg – are put into a program that deals with vector graphics, the program looks for patterns first. In this case, the pattern is the security paper. The rest of the “layers” are actually “masks” which are deviations from the substrate layer of the security paper.

If you take a paper with a tight, repeating pattern and type something on that paper, scan it and then dump it into Illustrator, it acts the same way – a series of layers.

People who buy into the “layer” theory don’t understand the difference between raster based and vector based graphics. Because the pixel based is so much more common in the world of the average person, they expect Illustrator to act the same way. It does not.

This means not only is your premise flawed, but your conclusion is flawed as well.

As for the Sheriff of Maricopa County, no one has to prove anything to him or anyone else. The “Cold Case Posse” had no graphic artists on it. It had no graphic experts on it. They relied on the “evidence” supplied by Taitz and Corsi, instead of doing an actual examination of the evidence and calling in other experts.

If you want to hang your hate on that sort of ignorance, be my guest. It doesn’t make it true.

“And one last question, since Obama thinks he was born in Kenya, why do you suppose his birth certificate says something else. ”

If you remember when all this started, so called “birthers” claimed that Obama could not be president because his parents were not from this country. (Father from Kenya, mother from the US.) At his birth, he was given dual citizenship of both Kenya and the US. By Kenyan law, he had to make an affirmative statement by the age of 20 to retain the Kenyan citizenship. He did not.

Now in essence, what you are asking is “why would Obama state he was born in Kenya if he wasn’t?” The man had a book he was trying to sell. What is more compelling? The story of a rags to riches kid from the US? Or a rags to riches story of a Kenyan born kid? What is going to attract the eye of a literary agent and a publisher?

If you think the answer is anything other than “the Kenyan story,” you would be wrong.

And before you think that is wrong or a terrible thing to do, there have been countless authors who have forged or misrepresented backgrounds. There are popular authors that have plagiarized content. (Stephen Ambrose ring a bell to you?)

(All it shows is that in the past, Obama lied or was less than truthful. Tell me something I don’t know.)

You are doing the same thing the Democrats did with Bush. You are trying to say that Obama and other operatives have pulled off the greatest scam in the history of the country, and yet make silly, basic, mistakes. Just like the Dems were with Bush, you can’t resolve whether Obama is stupid to make the mistakes or brilliant to scam the country.

However, when you start talking about the birth certificate, you’d better bring more to the table than “layers,” because “layers” in Illustrator only shows a lack of understanding of the way the program works.

  13. Redteam says:

“At his birth, he was given dual citizenship of both Kenya and the US.”
Just by definition alone, a natural born citizen can not be a dual citizen, they must have undivided allegiance.

“The man had a book he was trying to sell.”
At least you have a sense of humor. so you admit he’s a liar. So now tell me how you decided which lies to believe. But I do think he knows where he was born, why won’t you accept him at his word?

“Obama is stupid to make the mistakes or brilliant to scam the country.” I give him no credit for being stupid or brilliant. I’d put him as average. I don’t think he’s the one doing the scam, he’s only the object of the scam.

I give you no credit on the explanation of the fraudulent birth certificate. You claim you did all these things to verify it except you didn’t spend just 5 minutes to look at it. I don’t own Adobe Illustrator or any other analysis tool except a brain and that tells me with just a cursory look that there is no way it’s not a fraud.
Tell me why the signature stamp by Onaka on the certificate is different from the signature stamp of Onaka on this recent document from Hawaii. See what looking at things will do for you?

    RT,

Layers? Have you moved from being an expert in law to imaging and computers???

    Wow

  15. Louctiel says:

“Just by definition alone, a natural born citizen can not be a dual citizen, they must have undivided allegiance. ”

Actually, that is false. Citizenship is bestowed on a person by a country. If another country wants to bestow a second citizenship on a person, that has nothing to do with the status of the citizenship within the first country – especially when the citizenship is bestowed at birth.

“So now tell me how you decided which lies to believe.”

Why would one believe a lie to begin with? Actually, I think you are trying to ask “how do you decide what statements to believe?” That is a fair question and one that is answered by “examining the evidence that surrounds the statement.”

“You claim you did all these things to verify it except you didn’t spend just 5 minutes to look at it. ”

I have no idea what you are trying to say here. As I said, I spent hours looking at the thing which is probably more time than you have.

“I don’t own Adobe Illustrator or any other analysis tool…..”

While Illustrator is not an “analysis tool,” the fact of the matter is that you have proven the point that while you accuse others of not examining the evidence, you yourself cannot actually look at what occurs within the document. Your knowledge on how the digital images should act is non-existent, and yet you say that anyone who looks at the birth certificate should know the difference.

I get the idea that you want the birth certificate to be fake. That would open up a whole bunch of legal and Constitutional issues. However, your “wanting” and “proving” the authenticity of the birth certificate based upon you having no knowledge or experience with Illustrator, Photoshop or graphics indicates you are wedded to a conclusion that you cannot directly support.

“Tell me why the signature stamp by Onaka on the certificate is different from the signature stamp of Onaka on this recent document from Hawaii.”

There are several reasons. First is that the stamp may have changed for whatever reason. Stamps do wear out, you know, requiring another stamp to be made from a more recent signature. There is also the issue of the newness of the ink pad, the amount of ink on the pad, the surface upon which the stamp was pressed, etc.

However, the stamp doesn’t matter as Onaka has verified the documents are authentic.

  16. Redteam says:

louctiel, you sure are making it up as you go along.

“I get the idea that you want the birth certificate to be fake. ”
Doesn’t matter, I don’t get a choice, it’s fake so that’s the reality we have to deal with. I could just as easily state that I get the idea that you want it to be real, but that doesn’t matter either because you can’t turn that fake certificate into a real one.
I don’t know why it’s in your interest to push the issue one way or the other. Just deal with reality.
Why would I spend hours and hours looking at it? why would you? was it really that hard to find something about it that you can claim is not fake? I’m not about to beat a dead horse about all the hundreds of defects that prove it to be fake, you’ve heard them all. But it really only takes one and if you didn’t see a minimum of 10 withing 1 minute, then you were clearly looking at the wrong piece of paper.
I have no agenda. I’m not going to convince anyone, I’m not going to get him out of office, so I can be honest with myself. There is no truth about this man that is obvious. He is not who he claims to be, he was not born in Hawaii. He, himself, has clearly stated for years that he was born in Kenya, his wife has said it. You think it is a misrepresentation, it may be, everything else is, he is just an illusion, maybe he wants the distraction of a ‘fake’ birth certificate. That’s why he had them put out one that would make people laugh when the saw it. It’s just part of his ‘game’.

  17. Redteam says:

    AJ:
    “RT,

Layers? Have you moved from being an expert in law to imaging and computers???

    Wow”

Moved on? Nope, just added it on. Ambidextrous plus can chew gum and walk while being locked up overnight in a bar with WWS. or something…

  18. Redteam says:

    louctiel: please.
“I have no idea what you are trying to say here. As I said, I spent hours looking at the thing which is probably more time than you have. ”

let’s try to keep this on an adult level. If you’re gonna start claiming you have done something more hours than I have, would you please submit your time sheets?

That’s why I said you only need to look for 5 minutes or less. Once you’ve done that you know it’s a fake, the only reason to look longer is if you are counting the mistakes made that just adds to the evidence. If you are still looking to try to find evidence that it’s not fake, that’s clearly a waste of time.

Okay, now that we know that Obama was claiming that he was born in Kenya to sell books. Now tell us why Michelle was claiming he was born in Kenya? I haven’t heard that she is writing a book.

So, do you think he did surveys to determine which country to claim to be from to sell the most books or did he just randomly pick one.
Is he really the son of Barack Obama Sr, or did he have a survey done to decide who to claim as his father to sell the most books.

See how dumb it can be when you start making up things to try to explain things. Reality is much easier. You don’t have to deals with all those lies…

  19. Layman says:

    RT:

What’s the point? All this energy writing posts about the “fake birth certificate” is a waste. Suppose right now, an undisputable authority came forward and proved that Obama was born in Kenya. Then what????

Is the House going to impeach him? Before the election? Will Harry Reid allow a trial to take place in the Senate? Is the Justice Dept going to arrrest him? Are you going to march into the White House and make a citizens arrest?

Rememeber the old prayer? God give me the strength to change those things I can, accept those that I cannot, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Time for a little wisdom my friend.

  20. Redteam says:

Layman, You’re correct. as I said just up above: “I have no agenda. I’m not going to convince anyone, I’m not going to get him out of office, so I can be honest with myself. ”
